Hazel L. Beery, 87, of Brookville, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville, Pa.
Born on September 17, 1925, in Carnegie, Pa., she was the daughter of Howard Dale Willison and Margurite George Willison.
On November 10, 1968, she married Don M. Beery who survives.
She was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress/sewing; Metropolitan Life Ins. Co.; and Sylvania in Brookville, Pa.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Brookville, Pa. She was a certified Activity Director at nursing homes and a Life Member of the VFW Aux. in Fremont, Ohio.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Linda Goss (Malcolm) of Erie, Pa., and two nieces, Debbie Barr and Cheryl Burford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, a son, J. Gale VanSteenberg, a grandson, Joe VanSteenberg, two brothers, Edwin and George Willison, and a sister, Florence Barnett.
Visitation hours are on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at McKinney Funeral Home with Evangelist John Otis officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Eldred Twp., Jefferson Co., Pa.
