Karen Huff Collins, 66, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Somerset, and Oil City, passed on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, after a long illness.
Born Nov. 23, 1946 at Oil City. She was a loving wife to Thomas Collins and devoted mother of Stanley (Karen) Collins of Pueblo, Colo.; Stephen (Kellye) Sproull of New Kensington, Shawn Collins of Pueblo, Heather (Dennis) Stamoure of Syracuse, N.Y., Michael (Elizabeth) Sproull of Somerset, and Holly Collins of Long Island, N.Y.; grandmother of 12; great-grandmother of five. Sister of Marge Daley of Erie. Predeceased by her parents, Audley and Ruth Huff of Oil City.
A memorial service will be held at the Oakland United Methodist Church in Oil City on Friday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. Following the memorial, she will be laid to rest at Lamey Cemetery in Oil City. Always an animal lover, she is now at rest in the Kingdom of Heaven along with her many dogs. Her children always teased her, telling her she treated those dogs better than her kids.
Karen will always be loved and missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are sent to the American Heart Association.
