Mary E. Koza, 91, of 101 Spring St. Oil City, Pa, died Wednesday morning Nov. 27, 2013 at her home.
Born on January 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Gombita. She attended Duquesne High School. A homemaker, she worked for many years in the meat dept. at the A & P and did volunteer work at St. Agnes Elementary. She was married to Stanley A. Koza and he preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2004. Mrs. Koza attended St. Edwards in Herminie and St. Josephs while living in Oil City She had spent most of her life in Irwin and Madison before moving to Oil City in 2005 to be near her daughter.
She is survived by two daughters Karen Marshall & her husband Don of Butler, PA. Laurie Ward & her husband Tom of Oil City A granddaughter Amy Brown & her husband Alex of Bryn Mawr, PA. Two Great Grandchildren Alaina & Nathan 2 Sisters Dolores Gombita of Duquense Audrey & Michael Maloney of Lincoln Place And by several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Marlene Sala.
Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday in St. Joseph’s Church with Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor, Presiding. Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Church.
