Vincent C. Nigliazzo, 88, of Shippenville, formerly of Penn Hills, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013.
He was beloved husband of Millie L.; loving father of Connie (Gene) Kestory, of Florida, MaryAnn Kennedy, Vincent (the late Bunny), of Apollo, Kenneth Nigliazzo and Patricia (Michael) Santelli; beloved stepfather of Shawn (Terry) McCall, of Georgia, Timothy (Cheryl) McCall, of Pittsburgh, Carolyn (Gregory) Vesce, of Penn Hills, Cynthia (Richard) Litterine, of Plum, and George McCall, of Ohio; survived by 26 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother of Josephine Pichler, of Florida, Rosemarie (Auggie) Badali and the late Toni Yankech, Francis Coates and Sam Nigliazzo; brother-in-law of Charlotte Nigliazzo, of Arizona; and uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
He was active in Disabled American Veterans for more than 50 years and was a proud World War II veteran, having served with the Coast Guard. Vince was also a lifetime member of North Bessemer No. 3 Penn Hills Fire Hall, VFW and American Legion.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD./ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be at Restland Memorial Park.
