Roxanne S. Adams

Roxanne S. Adams, 62, of 22 Crestview Dr, Oil City, died at 1:15 pm, Friday, December 13, 2013, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born May 26, 1951 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Margaret J. Miller Struthers.

Roxanne was a 1969 graduate of Oil City High School.

She was an employee of GTE and Liberty Electronics.

Roxanne enjoyed decorating, and spending time with her family and her cat.

On May 12, 1973 she was married to Richard Lee Adams, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Bryan James Adams of West lake OH; three sisters, Rebecca Smrekar and husband Philip of Titusville, Joyce Beichner and Husband Joseph of Emporium, and Edna Bowen and husband John of Seneca; and three brothers, William Struthers, Jr. of Oil City, Richard Lee Struthers and wife Julia of Oil City, and Joseph Charles Struthers of Oil City.

Also surviving are nieces and nephews, William M. Struthers and wife Donna of Illinois, Joseph Struthers and wife Brenda of Oil City, David Smith and wife Shontelle of Florida, Margaret Beichner of Maryland, Jerry Beichner of Emporium, Rachel Drake of Oil City, Andrew Struthers and wife Jessica of Reno, Rochelle Cressman and husband Toby of Titusville, Shannon Scannel of Pittsburgh, Seth Scannel of Pittsburgh, Dani Wolfgong and husband Matt of Brookville, and Chris Campagna and wife Beth of Baltimore MD; several great nieces and great nephews; and an extended family of Tina, Ryan, Eric and Neil McMahon of Oil City.

In addition to her parents, Roxanne was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Charles Adams; a brother, Thomas Henry Struthers; a sister, Jean Marie Struthers; and a nephew, Dylan Thomas Smith.

At Roxanne’s request, there will be no visitation and services will be private for the family.

Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice
