Robert E. Davies, 82, of Ft. Pierce, FL, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013, after a brief illness.
Bob was born May 8, 1931 in Erie, PA. He graduated from Cathedral Preparatory School and Gannon College. He is a Veteran of the US Army Corps of Engineers in Ft. Bragg, NC. Bob was employed as a Technical Writer at GE Transportation and then in advertising at Mitchell Advertising, Erie, PA. He and his family moved to Oil City, PA where he worked as VP of Marketing at the Northwest Pa. Bank & Trust headquarters in Oil City, PA. He owned and operated Dusty Corner Antiques in Reno, PA until his retirement.
Bob was an avid huntsman and fly-fisherman.
He was the loving husband of Dorothy McDonald Davies – having just celebrated 60 years of marriage on August 8, 2013. He is survived by daughters: Kerri Whittle and Sam of Stuart, FL, Jennifer Monocello and Lawrence of Erie, PA; grandchildren Ian, Emma and Eric Turner and Lawrence Jr, Alexis, and Dominic Monocello.
He was preceded in death by his parents Emerson Davies and Gladys Davies; brother Raymond Davies; and daughter, Elizabeth Ann Spencer.
