Kenneth J. “Jack” Peoples

Kenneth J. “Jack” Peoples, 65, of Emlenton, died early Friday morning, January 10, 2014 at Trinity Living Center in Grove City following a lengthy illness.

Kenneth was born in Grove City on July 14, 1948. He was the son of George and Kathryn Wise Peoples.

He was a member of the first graduating class of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in 1966. He was a United States Navy veteran and served during the Vietnam era. He had been employed for most of his life as a truck driver. Jack enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and especially the company of his grandchildren.

Surviving are two children, Cynthia L. Wyman and her husband, Paul, and Logan J. Peoples and his wife, Meagan; three grandchildren, Skylar and CeJae Wyman and Kellan Peoples; a sister, Jill Sherman and her husband, Ron, all of Emlenton, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and long-time friends, Wilda Chutz and her daughter, Theresa, and Tom and Kym Brinkley.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by two nieces.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday. A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 7:15 p.m. with the Rev. Charles J. Campbell, pastor of New Zion E.C. Church, officiating. Interment will be at Scrubgrass Cemetery, Emlenton. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
