Nancy L. Bemis, age 75, of West Hickory, PA, died on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Warren General Hospital, Warren, PA.
She was born November 13, 1938 in Franklin, PA, daughter of the late John A. and Isabella (Kinnear) Johnson Jr.
On August 27, 1966 at the Church of God in Tionesta, she married William F. Bemis, who survives.
Nancy was employed by Evenflo-Crator in Tionesta, PA for 23 years as a Quality Control Inspector. She retired in 1994. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Jackie L. Greenlee and her husband Dan, and Dolly J. Eckert and her husband Jim, all of West Hickory. Kim A. Anderson and her husband Dan of East Hickory, PA. Krista G.
Tompkins and her husband Greg, also of West Hickory. Ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is her sister, Sarah S. Stevenson, state of California. Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Erica Greenlee and Gracie Tompkins. A sister, Norma M. Konkle.
Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Friday from 6-8. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Randy L. Evans, Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice Chaplin, officiating. Burial at West Hickory Cemetery, West Hickory, PA.
