Norma F. Double, 66 of East Brady died Wednesday January 22, 2014 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Barger Hollow (Perry Twp. Clarion Co.) on April 23, 1947, she was the daughter of Clayton A. and Lois R. (Fair) Barger.
Norma was a Nurse’s Aide first at the Anderson House in New Bethlehem, then Golden Living in Clarion, lastly for 12 years she worked at Sugarcreek Rest Home.
She was a member of the Petrolia Lion’s Club, was a fan of country music and an avid bingo player. She was known by her family for making the best moon pie’s and no-bake cookies.
Norma was fond of pets especially her late dog Missy, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Edward P. Double of East Brady whom she married July 28, 1991. 4 sons Donald “Bud” Adams Jr. of Widnoon. Bill( wife Robin) Adams of New Bethlehem, Ken (girlfriend Heather) Adams of Widnoon, Tim (wife Tatum) Adams of Freeport. 1 Granddaughter Bailey Adams and 3 grandsons Tyson, Joshua and Zyan Adams.
Norma is also survived by 3 sisters Nancy Barger, Judy Erb, Charlotte Rossman and 1 Brother Edward Barger. And numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Donald Adams Sr., Infant twin daughters, 1 grandson Craig, 1 sister Debra Gillespie and 1 brother Dean Barger.
A Memorial Service for Norma F. Double will be held at 11am Saturday February 1, 2014 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way East Brady, PA 16028
Private burial in Widnoon Cemetery will occur in the spring.
Norma’s family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in her name to the East Brady Ambulance PO Box 325 East Brady, PA 16028
