Virginia M. “Ginny” Kahle

Virginia M. “Ginny” Kahle, 96, formerly of Mechanicsville, Route 66, Clarion, passed away on February 20, 2014.

Born on September 5, 1917 in Rimersburg, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Snyder) Fowler. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

On February 20, 1937, she married William H. Kahle. He preceded her in death in 2002.

For many years she and her husband enjoyed golfing at High Level Golf Course. They were active members of the New Rehoboth-Greenville Presbyterian Church. She sang in the choir for many years and was a member of the ladies group.

Mrs. Kahle worked at the Clarion Restaurant, First Seneca Bank and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kahle is survived by her son, William D. Kahle and his wife Suzanne of Limestone Township; her daughter, Anita J. Hall and her husband Joseph R. “Pete” of Tylersburg; seven grandchildren, Kelly Simonette, Shari Huffman, Terri Williams, Dawn Hall, Mark Kahle, Mike Kahle, and Tom Kahle; 12 great-grandchildren, Cory and Cirsta Hankey, Audrey Regnier and Abby Huffman, Elijah and Malachi Kahle, Eden, Nathan and Joshua Kahle, Jeremy Kahle, and Matthew and Jennifer Williams; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Bennett and Penelope Regnier and Kessler Hankey.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kahle was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann Kahle; an infant son; six brothers, Paul, Floyd, Joe, Bob, Earl, and Raymond “Shorty” Fowler; and two sisters, Florence McCall and Marie Smail.

The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers with the DRMC Hospice program for their care and compassion during the past week.

Memorial donations may be made to the New Rehoboth-Greenville Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home, 330 Wood Street, in Clarion where visitation will be held from 3-7pm on Friday, February 21. An additional visitation will be held on Saturday morning, February 22, from 10-11am at the New Rehoboth-Greenville Presbyterian Church, Rehoboth Church Road, Strattanville, to be followed by funeral services at 11:00am, with Rev. James Dietrich officiating. Interment will follow in the New Rehoboth Cemetery.
