Susan Himes Towse, age 57, of Fairhaven Road, Strattanville, passed away on Saturday, March 01, 2014 at the Clarion Hospital.
Born on July 2, 1956, in Franklin, Susan was the daughter of J. Alvin and Shirley (Rice) Himes. On September 18, 1982, she married Larry Towse.
Susan was a homemaker and she and her husband also ran The Greenhouse on Route 322 in Clarion for 13 years. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
Susan is survived by her husband, Larry; her mother, Shirley Himes of Cranberry, Venango County; her sister, Deborah Napier and her husband Baxter of Lexington Kentucky; five nieces, Anna, Amanda, Amy, Arin, and Kristen; a nephew, Nathan; two brothers-in-law, Dale and Jim Towse; a sister-in-law, Barbara Smith; and a mother-in-law, Evelyn Towse. She will also be missed by her two cats, Sophie and Chloe.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, J. Alvin Himes; her father-in-law, Derald E. Towse; and her brother-in-law, Robert Towse.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, in Clarion where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Wednesday. An additional visitation will be held from 10-11am Thursday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Route 322 East, Strattanville, to be followed by funeral services at the church at 11:00am. Rev. Nancy Zahn, pastor of the Asbury United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Asbury Cemetery.
