Betty J. Stack

Betty J. Stack, 90, formerly of Oil City, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, died at 4 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014.

Born Dec. 19, 1923 in Coal City, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Ethel M. Flowers Schoch.

She had moved with her husband to different parts of Pennsylvania and Orchard Park, New York with her husband’s job.

Mrs. Stack graduated from Rockland High School and started working for GTE Telephone Company in Oil City and also did volunteer work.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Oil City.

Mrs. Stack was married to Harry J. Stack Jr. in Oil City on Aug. 9, 1946, he preceded her in death on October 7, 2005.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Owens (Chris) of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and a Granddaughter Stacy (Steve) Forsyth of Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin, and a sister Eileen Yingling of Franklin.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce, her son Larry, her sister Twyla, and 2 half-sisters Marion and Thelma, who she thought of very much as sisters.

At the time of her death she was living with her daughter and son-in-law in Kenosha.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm on Friday March 7, 2014 at the Morrison Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 4 pm Friday.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery next to her loving husband of 59 years.
