Dolores Arlene Whitmer, 78, of Licking Twp., Parker passed away at 9:00 AM Wednesday morning (03-12-14) at her residence of natural causes.
Born in Callensburg, Pa. on October 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Hazel Fulmer Brenneman.
She was a member of the Callensburg United Methodist Church, and was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Callensburg-Licking Twp. VFD.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she found time to be Democratic committeewoman for the Callensburg-Licking Twp. for over thirty five years.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, formerly of Sligo, now Clarion Chapter.
Dolores was employed by the former Knox Glass of Parker, Gallagher’s Plaza of Callensburg, and enjoyed last employment at Clarview Home at Sligo.
Surviving are her husband, Roy G. Whitmer whom she married October 17, 1953, just one day before her 18th birthday. Also surviving are five children and spouses: Greg (Donna) and Frank (Dotti) Whitmer, all of Callensburg, Tina (Tim) Colwell of Knox, Bradley Whitmer of Callensburg, and Rhoda Roberts of Sandy Lake, Pa.; ten grandchildren: Brian, Justin, Megan, Jordan, and Aaron Whitmer, Casey and Brandi Colwell, Nicole and Cody Wadding, and Levi Roberts; two great-grandchildren: Cami Colwell and Kaylee Beichner; one sister: Shirley Campbell of Clarion; one brother: Eugene (Erma) Brenneman of Sharpsville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral will be private. Interment will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Callensburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Callensburg United Methodist Church, PO Box, Callensburg, Pa. 16213.
