Barbara Rose Yachimowski, 63, of Chicora, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 19, 2014 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Barbara was born in Butler on February 18, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Brownfield Hindman. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed puzzles, walks, reading, movies, playing cards, a good cup of tea, as well as taking care of her dog and bird.
She had been employed for twenty- three years in the housekeeping department at Sugarcreek Rest Home.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Yachimowski who died in 1987.
She is survived by two sons, Corey Yachimowski of Clarion and Dana Yachimowski of Numine, her friend and caregiver Dianne Smith of Chicora, a brother, Lewis Hindman and his wife Gaye of East Brady, a sister Mary Ann Croop and her husband Howard of Mars, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hindman.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday.
A funeral service will follow 7:00 p.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. O.J. Roudebush, officiating.
