Mary I. Hollenbaugh, 94, of Laurelbrooke Landing, Brookville, passed on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville with her nieces by her side.
Born on May 23, 1919 in Panic, Pennsylvania; she was the daughter of William M. and Edith Hawk Hollenbaugh.
Mary worked as a cashier at the ACME Super Market in Clarion and Anderson Super Market in Warren.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Main Street of Clarion.
Mary loved to read Amish books, knitting and crocheting, puzzle books, and playing cards.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including three nieces, Shirley Dolby and her husband, Lad, of Strattanville, Dorothy Over and the late, Windy Over, of Sligo, and Janet McKee and her husband, Rusty, of Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Allen Hollenbaugh, William Hollenbaugh, Ray Hollenbaugh, Harry Hollenbaugh, and Marlow Hollenbaugh; and two sisters, Dorothea Smith and Mildred Harkins.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Deryl Larsen, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Clarion, officiating.
Interment will be held in the Panic Cemetery.
