Barbara L. (Coller) Minich, 79 of Fairmount City, went to be with her Heavenly Father after a short battle with lung cancer, Thursday morning, May 15, 2014 at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning. Born September 5, 1934 in Oak Ridge she was the daughter of Harry and Mary (Smith) Horne, Sr. She married James C. “Dale” Minich on January 11, 1997 he survives.
Barb was a homemaker, and a member of the Cornerstone Church of God in Fairmount City. She was secretary for the Women’s Ministry and helped with the church breakfasts.
She is survived by one son; Paul S. Raub of Mount Pleasant, one daughter; Trena Raub of Butler, six step children; James Coller and wife Kelly of Freeport, Ginny Burris and husband Raymond of Freeport, Penny Mills and husband Bob of Kittanning, Judy Merryman and husband John of Kittanning, Ruth Emery and her companion Bob of Freeport and Vickie Manners of New Bethlehem, sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two sisters; Pat Burford of Oak Ridge, and Karen Rearick of New Bethlehem.
She is preceded in death by both parents; two husbands James Raub and Roy Coller, two sons; Matthew Coller and Paul Raub, a brother, Harry L. Horne, Jr. and two sisters Gladys Barndollar and Donna Rupp.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 on Saturday, May 17 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 18, at 2:00 pm at the Cornerstone Church of God in Fairmount City with Pastor Mike Hicks officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
