Rosebelle L. Schmader, 93, a resident of Oakwood Heights in Oil City died at 8:55 P.M. Thursday May 15, 2014 after an extended illness.
Born April 24, 1921 in Oil City, PA. , she was the daughter of the late Adam J. & Belle M. McCauley Brozeski.
Rosebelle was a graduate of Oil City High School.
She was married to Raymond E. Schmader on April 18, 1938 in the Clarion County Courthouse and he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1995.
A homemaker, she enjoyed antiques, going to Flea Markets, spending time with her family and she enjoyed her animals.
Mrs. Schmader was a member of St. Stephen’s Church.
She is survived by a son Terry Schmader & his wife Sandy of Fruita, CO; a daughter Ann Switzer & her husband Richard of Oil City; a daughter-in-law Joane Schmader of Oil City; 11 Grandchildren Debbie Allen, David Schmader, Jack Schmader, Lori Lee Schmader, Renda Ann Bates, Michelle Coulter, Theresa Schmader, Christina Hunt, Richard Switzer Jr., Michael Switzer and James Switzer, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Jack Schmader and her sister Ethylnn Tarr.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 7-9 P.M. on Monday in the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at St. Stephen’s Church with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, Pastor, Presiding .
Interment will be in Fertigs Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Second Century Fund at St. Stephen’s Church or to the Venango County Humane Society.
