Claire Eisenhuth, 91, of Knox, PA, died Saturday evening, August 10, 2013, at Highland Oaks Assisted Living, Shippenville, PA.
Born April 28, 1922, in Sligo, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kelly and Edna Love.
She was married to Frank Eisenhuth, who preceded her in death in March, 1999. They had celebrated amost 57 years of marriage.
She is survived by a son, Bill and wife, Lois, of Knox and a daughter, Judy Parker and husband, Roger, of Patton Lane, Knox. Also surviving are her grandchildren including Kellie Jones and husband, Mark, of Bristow, VA; Mark Eisenhuth and wife, Susan, of Douglassville, PA; Matt Eisenhuth and wife, Jill, of Harrison City, PA; Brian Buzard, and wife, Paula, of Butler, PA; Rob Buzard, and wife, Tammy, of Knox; and Ron Buzard, of Karns City, PA. She also has many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six siblings and was the last surviving member of her family. She also was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Eugene Buzard, in 1997.
Visiting hours will be from 1 to 3 PM at McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, 504 East Penn Ave, Knox, PA, Saturday, August 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM in the funral home Pastor Dan Myers officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Joy Cemetery, Knox, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in the name of Claire Eisenhuth, may be given to Highland Oaks Activity Fund for residents, 101 Maple Dr, Shippenville, or Mt. Joy United Methodist Church, 158 Mt. Joy RD, Knox, or Charitable Deeds, 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox.
The family wants to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents at Highland Oaks for their wonderful, loving, compassionate care for Claire during her residence there.
