Ella Lucille Truitt, 90, of New Bethlehem (Deanville) died Tuesday September 3, 2013. She was born November 23, 1922 in St. Charles the daughter of H. H. and Emma (Siberling) Shindledecker, she was married to Glenn P. Truitt on December 20, 1940 he preceded her in death on June 6, 1975.
Lucille was a homemaker and also was a member of the Springside Baptist Church.
Lucille is survived by six sons; Larry Truitt and wife Karen of Distant, Dewayne Truitt and wife Elaine of Jacksonville, FL. Gale Truitt and wife Lillian of Pittsburgh, Robert Truitt and wife Wendy of Brookville, Charles Truitt and wife Robin of Clarion and Thomas Truitt and wife Sandy of Deanville and two daughters; Beverly Wells and husband Duane of Distant, and Mary Lou Lockwood and husband Robert of Meadville. She is also survived by; twenty grandchildren, five step grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by; her parents, husband Glenn P. Truitt, four sisters, daughter-in-law Sherrie Truitt and a grandson, Shawn Truitt.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Springside Baptist Church. The funeral services will be Saturday September 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Tucker officiating. Interment will be in the Kellersburg Methodist Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Springside Baptist Church. The Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn is in charge of arrangements
