Anna L. McNamara, 73, of Hovey Twp., Parker, Pa. passed to eternal rest Tuesday evening (12-03-13) at Parker Personal Care Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Fairview Twp., Butler Co. on November 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Nelson B. (Sr.) and Sophia Rottman Barger.
Anna graduated from Fairview Township-Karns City High School in 1958. She was employed over thirty six years with Indespec at Petrolia, retiring in 2000 as a lab technician. Anna was a longtime, devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Parker, where over the many years of membership she had served as a Sunday School teacher, church treasurer, and member of the session. She loved caring for her family, her home, and tending to her many flower gardens at her residence.
She is survived by two sons: Bradley and wife Marci Wagner of Emlenton and Joel Wagner of Syracuse, NY; two grandsons: Alec and Evan Wagner; one sister: Karen Barger Ferkich of Glendale, CA.; one brother and wife: Nelson (Jr.) and Edna Barger of Seybertown (East Brady); niece Richael Philip) Anderson and children, Luke and Levi Anderson; nephew Rich (Heather) Barger and children Drew and Taylor Barger.
In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Sandy Wagner in Nov. 2013 and a special brother-in-law Eugene Ferkich in 2010.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, Inc., 201 So. Wayne Ave., Parker.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Private interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Petrolia.
