Mabel Elizabeth Snyder Garland, 95, of Pittsburgh, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013.
Beloved wife of the late Homer Carl Garland; loving mother of Gail and Patricia Garland; proud grandmother of Elizabeth (Bob Campbell) Pinkerton, Allison (Brian) Brockman, and April Diehl; also survived by her nieces and nephew, Betty Hale, Shirley Ziegler, and Richard McCleary.
Born in Knox, PA, Mabel Garland graduated from Robert Morris College of Accounting and was an accountant by profession.
Mabel lived her life with great integrity, generosity, caring, beauty, resilience, intelligence, and a witty sense of humor.
Friends received Saturday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1014 California Ave., Avalon, 412-766-5600. At St. Mark’s Church, 131 Monroe Church Rd., Knox, PA, visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., at which time the funeral service will begin. Family requests that everyone meets at the church.
