Janet L. Morrison

Janet L. Morrison, 76, of 104 Mayer St, Oil City, died at 12:18 am, Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at her home following a brief illness.

Born April 9, 1937 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred Bodine Fornof.

Janet was a graduate of Oil City High School.

She worked at Quaker Market until it closed and then at the Oil City Hospital in Medical Records.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and also attended Plumer United Methodist Church.

Janet was a member of the Plumer Community Association, the Plumer Ladies Aide, the Historical Society, the Order of Eastern Star and a female member of the Acacia Grotto clowns with her husband.

On April 28, 1960 she married Charles Frank Morrison, who preceded her in death on May 3, 2013.

Surviving are a son, Kevin Charles Morrison of Oil City; a daughter, Kimberly Louise Morrison of Pittsburgh; and a granddaughter, Heather Coleman of Seneca.

Also surviving are two brothers Arden Fornof, and Allen “Red” Fornof and wife Dorothy, all of Oil City; one sister, Sally Cox and husband Dan of Rouseville; in-laws, Robert and Karen McSparren, Judy Fridley, Pat Morrison and Mary Fornof; and various nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her siblings, an infant sister, Wanda Fornof, Richard Fornof, Eileen Alt, Andy Fornof, Philip Fornof and Linda DeWoody.

Friends may call on Thursday at the Morrison Funeral Home from 3 to 7 pm and on Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church from 10 to 11 am.

Funeral services will be held in the church at 11 am with the Rev. Bruce Davis and the Rev. Don Rudge, officiating.

Interment will follow in Plumer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church, 2 Center St, Oil City PA 16301.
