Luella Marie Moyer Wedekind, 86 of Shippenville passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Golden Living in Shippenville.
Born July 1, 1927, in Knox she was the daughter of Bennett and Viola Moyer. Luella work as an aid for the VNA. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards and traveling. On June 30, 1952 she married Dwight Wedekind and he survives.
Along with her husband Luella is survived by a son Matthew Wedekind and his wife Peggy of Shippenville, a daughter in law Sharon Wedekind of Shippenville, five grandchildren Erick Hawk, Jamie Hawk, Tim Hawk and his wife Amy, Josh Wedekind, Shasta Walker and her husband Joe, four step grandsons Adam Kemmer, Ryan Kemmer, Mile Kemmer, Broc Kemmer, eighteen great grand children, a sister Eileen Grabe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Luella was preceded in death by a daughter Charlotte Hawk, a son Dana Wedekind Sr., a grandson Dana Wedekind Jr., two brothers Lawrence Moyer, Leonard Moyer, a sister Eleanor Moore and an infant brother.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday May 3, at the McEntire-Weaver Fuenral Home, 504 East Penn. Ave, Knox. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Richard Grabe officiating.
