David B. Doutt, 1SG David B. Doutt, Sr. “TOP” USA Ret. beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on November 17, 2013.

David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Johnine and sister Dory Wagner of San Diego, daughter Catherine Cerdedo her husband Adrian and daughter Katie, son David Jr., his wife Cynthia, and sons Nicolas and Colin, sisters-in-law, Catherine and Virginia Swilley and many loving nieces and nephews.

David served his country honorably for 23 years, and after military retirement began a second career as a JROTC instructor mentoring young cadets for 17 years at Reagan HS and 9th Grade Center in Aldine collectively.

Teaching was his true vocation and devoted many extra hours and days to ensure their success in the JROTC Program. Many of his former students continued to seek his guidance with their military and civilian careers. He was a bowler, a big NASCAR fan and avid golfer with two holes-in-one.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on November 23 at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 East 10th St. Houston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a JROTC scholarship fund administered by

J. Scott Ruth, 50, of Lyndora, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his residence.

Scott was born in Pittsburgh on December 1, 1962.  He was the son of Sherry McClaren of Butler and the late Calvin J. Ruth Sr.  Mr. Ruth was of the Roman Catholic Faith.  Scott was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed swimming, boating, fishing, and camping.  Most of his working life, Scott was employed as a union laborer.

In addition to his mother he is survived by four siblings, Sherrie Lane and her husband Robert of Pittsburgh, Calvin James Ruth and his wife Michele, and Kim Oberc  all of Butler and Raymond Ruth and his wife Sherri of Evan City, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his father and grandparents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Diedre Ruth Elder and Sandy Ruth, and his stepfather Carl “Red” McClaren.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd. Chicora, from 12-3pm Saturday.  A funeral service will follow from the funeral Home at 3pm Saturday with the Rev. Betty J. Carlson, 86, formerly of Clarion County,  passed away November 25, 2013.

Memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday at Smith Mortuary, Derby, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Grace Carlson, great-great nephew, Cody Sean Blue, Betty is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Leland) Shields; nephew and nieces, Mike (Carolyn) Shields, Diane (Curtis) Roberts, Debra (Mike) Garnett, Christine (Mark) Smith; many cousins, great nieces and nephews.

Dianne Hawk

Dianne Hawk, 59, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born March 2, 1954 in Foxburg, PA, the daughter of William H. and Alice L. (Sedwick) Hornberger.

Dianne grew up in Templeton and lived in Clarion County most of her life. She attended Redbank Valley High School and graduated from the Kittanning Beauty School. Dianne worked as a cosmetologist but left the workforce to dedicate herself to being a wife and mother. She loved cooking, baking, bowling, planning family events and spending time with her children. Dianne was also a member of the New Athens Church of God of Prophecy. Her selfless and caring spirit will always be remembered by those who knew her.

Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Zachary B. Hawk, of Clarion, and Andrew James Hawk, of East Brady; daughters, Emily Barlett and husband, Randy Jr., of Strattanville, and Kiara Nicole Hawk, at home; brothers, Tom Hornberger and wife, Shirley, of Templeton, Benjamin Hornberger and wife, Robin, of Adrian, R. Dean Hornberger, of Brooksville, FL, Dave Hornberger and wife, Joyce, of Spring Grove, and Brian Hornberger and wife, Tammy, of Templeton; sister, Sandra Anderson and husband, Edward, of Templeton; and sister-in-law, Gloria Heasley, of Templeton.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Brice Hawk, who passed away May 12, 2011; brother, W. Edward Hornberger; and significant other, Ryan Olcus, who died alongside her.

Relatives and friends will be received from 12 PM until the time of the memorial service at 3 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 758 Main St., Rimersburg, with the Rev. Thomas Kelly officiating.

John A. “Jack” Hindman

John A. “Jack” Hindman, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on January 22, 1921, in New Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Merle and Mary (Carr) Hindman. On October 26, 1940, in Cumberland, MD, he married the former Mildred M. “Millie” Reichard. They were married for 68 years before she preceded him in death in June 2009.

Jack served in the United States Navy during World War II at the rank of Signalman Second Class on the island of Espiritu Santos in the South Pacific.

He was employed by Owens-Illinois Glass and Owens-Illinois Closure Plant as a cost controller before retiring in 1981. He was active as a Boy Scout Leader, a charter member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Company, and served on the Clarion-Limestone School Board, including several years as President.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Virginia Lee “Ginny” Mellring and her husband Chuck of Austin, Texas; his son John R. Hindman and his wife Sharon of Strattanville; three grandchildren Celeste Reese and her husband George of Sarver, Chuck Mellring, and his wife Kristen of Austin, TX, and Chad Mellring and his wife Jennifer of Long Island NY; and five great-grandchildren, Melissa Reese, Julia Reese, Rebecca Reese, Tyler Mellring, and Sara Mellring.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Jack was preceded in death by his sister Kathryn Curran.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion. At Jack’s request, there will be no viewing or formal services. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park, Strattanville.

Mary E. Koza, 91, of 101 Spring St. Oil City, Pa, died Wednesday morning Nov. 27, 2013 at her home.

Born on January 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Gombita. She attended Duquesne High School. A homemaker, she worked for many years in the meat dept. at the A & P and did volunteer work at St. Agnes Elementary. She was married to Stanley A. Koza and he preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2004. Mrs. Koza attended St. Edwards in Herminie and St. Josephs while living in Oil City She had spent most of her life in Irwin and Madison before moving to Oil City in 2005 to be near her daughter.

She is survived by two daughters Karen Marshall & her husband Don of Butler, PA. Laurie Ward & her husband Tom of Oil City A granddaughter Amy Brown & her husband Alex of Bryn Mawr, PA. Two Great Grandchildren Alaina & Nathan 2 Sisters Dolores Gombita of Duquense Audrey & Michael Maloney of Lincoln Place And by several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Marlene Sala.

Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday in St. Joseph’s Church with Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor, Presiding. Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Church.

Mikeral D. (Mike) Atkinson, 59, of 3456 State Route 8, Titusville, died unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Atkinson was born August 27, 1954, in Titusville a son of John P. Atkinson and the late Lillian Rouse Atkinson.

He attended Titusville High School.

Mike was employed by Titusville Supply Company as a truck driver for over 33 years.

Mike was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, dirt track bike racing and NASCAR.

Survivors include his father of Titusville; two sons, David Atkinson and his wife Marsha of Saegertown and Joseph Atkinson of Hamlin, NY; a daughter Holly Atkinson of Cambridge Springs; two grandchildren, Shelly Lynn Atkinson and David Alan Atkinson; a brother John Atkinson and his wife Vicki of Oil City; his significant other Tina Hathaway of Titusville; and two nephews.

At Mr. Atkinson’s request, no calling hours or funeral service will be observed.

Janet M. Dinger

Janet M. Dinger of Northview Drive, Brookville, beloved wife of Harold F. (Pete) Dinger, and daughter of Cloyd (Link) Lingenfelter and Ruby Diener Lingenfelter, passed away from natural causes on Thursday, November 28, 2013.

She was 78 years old and had been a resident of the Jefferson Manor for the past four years.

Janet was born in Brookville, PA on April 3, 1935, and graduated as salutatorian from Brookville Area High School in 1953. She was married to Pete Dinger in 1954 and lived in Brookville, PA where they raised their family.

Janet spent 35 years as a secretarial assistant in the Brookville Area School District at the Northside Elementary School before retiring in 2003. During that time she also managed the Pinecrest Country Club kitchen and dining room for 20 years. She was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Brookville.

In addition to her husband, Pete Dinger, she is survived by two sons, Thomas Dinger of Sunnyvale, CA, Timothy Dinger of Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Surviving also are seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Douglas Dinger.

Janet will be very missed by her loving husband, Pete, her children, friends, and extended family and will be remembered for her kindness, love, and care to all who knew her.

Friends will be received Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 2:00 – 9:00 PM at the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville.

Services will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Grace Lutheran Church on 150 Franklin Avenue in Brookville at 1:30 PM.

Interment will follow in the St. John’s (Windy Hill) Cemetery in Rose Township, Jefferson County, PA.

Robert E. Rossey, Sr., 73, of Marienville, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville.

Born October 12, 1940, in Marienville, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Gladys Frazier Rossey.

Mr. Rossey was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by 2 sons, Robert Rossey, Jr. of Monroeville and Michael Rossey and his wife, Christina of Marienville. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Thomas Rossey of Wilmerding and John Rossey and his wife, Donna of Monroeville. In addition he is survived by 4 grandchildren: Catherine Rossey, Thomas Rossey, Brandi Rossey and Timothy Rossey.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rossey was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Rossey.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, December 2 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper.

A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy Spencer, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Brookville, officiating.

Catherine Louise Rottman, 72, of Karns City, passed away Thursday evening, November 28, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Rottman was born in Butler on October 29, 1941. She was the daughter of James and Eva Zelenski Hurley.

She was of the Roman Catholic faith. Catherine enjoyed country music and the company of her dog. She was retired from the dietary department at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was married in Chicora on September 23, 1986 to Robert A. Rottman. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Sharon Carben and her husband, Anthony, of Chicora, John Michael Sheptak and his fiance, Michelle Lasichak, of Chicora, Susan Sheptak of Butler, and Pamela McDeavitt and her husband, Richard, of Karns City; four step children, Lori Campbell and her husband, Mike, of Karns City, Tammy Patten and her husband, Paul, of Butler, Robert Rottman Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Eau Claire, and Jason Rottman and his wife, Tarina, of Knox; three grandchildren, Nathan Carben, Steven Sheptak, and Paige McDeavitt; a brother, Thomas Hurley and his wife, Shirley, of Meridian; a special friend, Bonnie Ross, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Blessing Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main Street, Karns City, with the Rev. John M. Butler, pastor of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, officiating.

James C. “Jim” Schrecengost

James C. “Jim” Schrecengost, 91, of Chicora, formerly of Timblin, went to be with the Lord Thursday evening, November 28, 2013, at the VNA Inpatient Hospice following an illness.

Born in Belknap, Pennsylvania on February 13, 1922, Jim was the son of Ira M. “Cooney” and Ruby B. Boyd Schrecengost.

He attended school in Timblin.

Mr. Schrecengost was a member of the Karns City United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Punxsutawney. He had been employed through the years by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers at Crooked Creek State Park, Pittsburgh Plate Glass, and Crawford Furniture. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Maxine McElravy.

Surviving are four step children, Theodore McElravy and his wife, Linda, of Chicora, Gretchen Hemphill and her husband, Marty, of Renfrew, Christeen Rodgers and her husband, Dennis, of Mt. Chestnut, Gregg McElravy and his wife, Barb, of Chicora; two sisters, Joanne Kosko or Portage, PA, and Marge Hartley of Austin, Texas; a sister-in-law, Shirley Schrecengost of Templeton, as well as a number of step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Reed Schrecengost and Regnald Boyd, and three sisters, Muriel Gregorson, Helen Anderson and Jean Yearshunas.

Private visitation and a funeral service were held Saturday from the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, with the Rev. Alison Fisher, a United Methodist pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Belknap Cemetery near Dayton.

Donna Mae Fetterolf

Donna Mae Fetterolf, 75, of Utica, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at UPMC Hamot as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident on November 26, 2013.

Born, February 10, 1938 in Meadville, she was the daughter of Milton C. and Ruth G. Dilley Deeter. She married Charles E. Fetterolf on June 9, 1956 and he survives.

She was a nurses aide for several area hospitals and retired from Sugar Creek Station where she was the activities director.

Her hobbies included baking, various crafts and selling Friendly’s Home Toys, and her and her husband were also a member of the Deckards Run United Methodist Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband of 57 years include a son Tommy Fetterolf and his fiancée Diane Carson of Meadville and a daughter Linda K. Coldren and her companion Tom Mullen of Carlton. Two sisters, Doris Whitman of Meadville and Patricia Giles of Carlton, two brothers, Eugene Deeter of Cochranton and Richard Deeter and his fiancée, Laurie Scutella of Erie. Two grandchildren, Tommy Fetterolf Jr. and his wife Angela, and Matthew Scowden, two step grandsons, Shawn and Jason Consla and a great grandson, Ethan Otto Fetterolf.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Larry Fetterolf, a sister in law, Wanda Deeter and a brother in law, Walter Whitman.

There are no calling hours planned. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Nancy Lou Middleton

Nancy Lou Middleton, 79, of Pine Hill Church Road in Kennerdell, Rockland Township, died Saturday night, November 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.

Born July 28, 1934 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Alice Coville Protzman.

She was of the protestant faith.

Nancy enjoyed sewing and gardening, and in her earlier years participated in bowling leagues. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She worked cleaning homes in the area and also as a cashier at the Rockland Corner Store.

On September 24, 1955 she married Glenn E. Middleton, Sr. and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1989.

Surviving are eight children, Jack Middleton and wife Teri of Franklin, Deborah Middleton of New York, Glenn “Chip” Middleton, Jr. of Kennerdell, Mike Middleton and wife Melanie of Kennerdell, Tina Paich and husband Jim of Kennerdell, Kim Carbaugh and husband Lou of Seneca, William Middleton and wife Brenda of Kennerdell, and Mark Middleton of Kennerdell; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Judy Howe of Wilkes-Barre.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Don Protzman; two sisters, Lola Mae Balz and Sharon Meyer; and an infant granddaughter, Charity.

Friends will be received Tuesday (Dec. 3rd) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday (Dec. 4) at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Bartholomew officiating.

Interment will follow in the Melat Cemetery, Kennerdell, Rockland Township.

G. Ann Larrow Garbacz, 60, passed away early Saturday morning, November 30, 2013 after a lengthy period of declining health.

Born December 4, 1952, at Oil City Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Vaughn and Joanne McLaughlin Larrow.

She was married to Daniel Joseph Garbacz on July 4, 1975, in Oil City. Daniel passed away on January 14, 1995. Together they had a son, Michael David.

Ann was a 1970 graduate of North Clarion High School and a 1990 graduate of Clarion University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Child Development and Child Care (MSW). Ann was a Mental Health Therapist at the Regional County Counseling Center of Oil City.

Ann loved being a mother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also very passionate regarding child abuse and neglect prevention. She was a volunteer and advocate for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Venango County.

Ann is survived by her son, Michael David Garbacz and his wife, Lauren of Greenbackville, Virginia. She is also survived by her step-mother Kathryn Larrow of Leeper. She is survived by two brothers, Lawrence Larrow of Austin, Texas and Ronald Larrow of Pittsburgh and 3 sisters, Judy Smith and her husband, Ken of Seneca; Bobbie Larrow of Franklin and Jodie L. Hadden of Rocky Grove. In addition, she is survived by one step-brother, Mark Rossey and one step-sister, Lori Hinderliter.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step-brother, Matthew Rossey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013, at St. Mary Church in Crown with Rev. Gregory Passauer, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Venango County or Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice.

Connie R. Dunkle Rankin

Connie R. Dunkle Rankin, 77, of Fairmount City, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Clarion Hospital.

She was born August 10, 1936, in Rimersburg; she was the daughter of Edward and Alberta Stewart Dunkle.

Connie was married on April 19, 1954, to Richard C. Rankin, who preceded her in death on August 13, 2003.

She was a member of the Clarion Church of the Nazarene. She was loved by her family, church, family, and many friends. She was involved in all activities of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, from Girl Scouts leader to Sunday school teacher, racing events, dance recitals, piano recitals, sports events, and Bible school with all the children. She was in involved in numerous missionary trips to Australia, Ukraine, and Bulgaria. She worked in soup kitchens, taught in orphanage’s, helped with renal patients, and taught the gypsy and aboriginal children, bringing the word of God’s love to them all.

Surviving are three children, Pam McGinley of Climax, NC, Kim Smith (Mike) of Strattanville, and Craig Rankin (Deb) of Clarion; six grandchildren, JR (Liz) McGinley, Megan (Brock) Smith Steele, Adrianne (Isaac) Smith Kurtz, Kaleb Smith, Noah and Jacob Rankin; three great grandchildren, Livia and Alex McGinley and Grace Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Richard Dunkle, a sister, Judith Dunkle Kerle, and a niece, Stephanie Kerle Rhoades.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Clarion Church of the Nazarene, 202 Mayfield Road, Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in the Clarion Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Mark Smith, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be held in the New Rehoboth Church Cemetery.

Grace Elizabeth Karns Malys, 62, of Reno, passed away at 8:25 pm, Saturday, November 30, 2013, at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 18, 1951, in Oil City, Grace was a daughter of the late Earl H. and Elizabeth Burneisen Karns.

She worked at Kalpec’s, also was a massage therapist for 6 years and as a caregiver for many years.

Grace was a member of the Reno United Methodist Church and the women’s auxiliary.

She was first married to Mike Malys and for the past 20 years was with a faithful companion, John “Charlie” Boyer.

Grace had one son, David Michael Malys and wife Heidi, and one dear grandson, Fischer Carl Malys.

Also surviving are two sisters, Lavonne Hutchinson and Carol Urey; two brothers, David Karns and wife Mary Lou, and Fred Karns; many nieces nephews and great nieces and great nephews; and “numerous” friends to great to mention.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 am Wednesday with the Rev. Karen Kostur, pastor of the Reno United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Reno Cemetery.

The family suggests donations be made to the VNA Hospice, the Reno United Methodist Church Women’s Society or to a charity of one’s choice.

Joseph A. Paden, Jr., 72, of Meadville, passed away at home surrounded by his family, Sunday, December 01, 2013.

He was born in Alliance, OH June 21, 1941 a son of Joseph A. Paden, Sr. and Mina Scrivens Paden White and his step-father, John White.

He married Sandra Seymour July 21, 1990. He worked as a Conductor and Brakeman on the Erie Lackawanna, Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroads retiring in 2001 after 40 years of service.

He was a 1961 graduate of Randolph/East Mead High School.

He was a member of the Vernon Central Fire Hall, East Mead Vol. Fire Dept., Stafford American Legion Post #111, Saegertown American Legion Post #205, Meadville Rescue Squad and served on the Board of Relief.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Sandra of 23 years, include: three children, Robin Hawk of Euless, TX, Joseph W. Paden and his wife Teresa of Saegertown and Judi Whitcomb and her husband Tim of Harborcreek; two step-daughters, Wendy Lynch and her husband Steve of Meadville and Stacy Sherretts and her husband Wayne of Conneautville; eight grandchildren Phillip Denman and his wife Christy, Ryan Paden, Brendon Paden, Michael Whitcomb, Adam Whitcomb, Tyler Lynch, Kyle Lynch and Nicholas Lynch; a great grandson, Zachary Denman; three sisters, Dorothy Hubert and her husband John of Franklin, Jeannette Gantt and her husband George of Andalusia, AL, Cheryl Baker and her husband Kenneth of Hermitage; three brothers, Frank Paden of Frenchtown, John Paden and his wife Janet of Cochranton and Tim Paden of Franklin and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The service will follow Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Benjamin Travis, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.

Nancy L. Burk, 69, of 173 Washington Street ,Franklin died at 5:50 AM ,Saturday, November 30, 2013 at The Caring Place.

Born November 11, 1944 in Franklin, Nancy was the daughter of the late Melvin and Mamie (McCleery) Baughman.

She was a 1962 graduate of Franklin Area High School.

On July 2, 1966 she married David R. Burk, who survives.

She enjoyed Fishing.

Nancy was a good wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her sons, Scott A. Burk and his partner, Mia Jarzenske, and Michael C. Burk; her daughter, Melissa S. Pierce; and her sister, Karen L. Bingman all of Franklin.

She is additionally survived by her grandchildren, Lindsay, Taylor and Kylie Pierce of Franklin, Haley and Payton Burk of Cooperstown, Derrick Burk of Clarion, and Ian and Rebecca Jordan of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Lee Burk; and her brothers, Melvin “Jake”, Terry, Michael, and Kevin Baughman.

Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, from 1-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held following visitation at 5 p.m. at the Funeral Home , with Rev. Ron Reagle officiating.

Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Visiting Nurses Foundation, 491 Allegheny Blvd., Franklin, PA 16323.
