Mary Kay Smith

Mary Kay Smith, 89, of 520 Bissell Ave, Oil City, died at 9:20 am, Sunday, May 4, 2014, at the Golden Living Center-Oil City.

Born October 23, 1924 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Perry Brooks and Ruth Mary Ament Seth.

Mary Kay was a graduate of Cranberry High School.

She worked in the Oil City Senior High school cafeteria for 28 years.

Mary Kay was an avid quilter, and enjoyed bowling and volunteer work. She was active with the Prom to Dawn committee for 45 years.

On July 10, 1943 she married Robert E. Smith, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1990.

Surviving are three sons, Robert G. “Butch” Smith and wife Wendy of Ballston Spa, NY; Cody Smith of Oil City and Mitchell Smith and companion Ruth Paszkowski of Oil City; a daughter, Janis Cook and husband Craig “Clem” of Oil City; two grandsons, Matthew Cook and wife Allyson, and Michael Cook and wife Alicia; and three great grandchildren, Sierra Cook, Savannah Cook and Landen Cook.

Also surviving are a brother, Robert Seth of Oil City; a sister, Isabell Cornmesser of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Smith; a granddaughter, Jill Renee Cook; and a brother, William Seth.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 am Thursday with the Rev. John Seth, officiating.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Activity Fund at Golden Living Center-Oil City, or to a charity of one’s choice.

Pamela Sue Seaholm, 64, of Cochranton, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a 2-year battle with cancer.

She was born March 4, 1950 in Sharon, a daughter of Eleanor Bacon McDonald. She married David Seaholm May 27, 1972 and he survives.

Pamela was a 1968 graduate of Monongahela High School and a graduate of Edinboro State Teacher’s College with a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and art. She worked as a teacher for 20 years for Head Start in Cochranton and Meadville and subsequently assisted her husband at Seaholm Home Inspections for 11 years. Pamela attended First Faith Fellowship in Meadville. She was a member of Meadville Eagles Aerie 429 and Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Dept. and was a former member of Charles Stafford American Legion Post 111 and the Meadville Ski Club where she had served as president. An avid snow skier and pool player, she enjoyed painting, time spent on the family boat, and especially time spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors, in addition to her husband David, include two daughters, Joni Wagner and her husband Cary of Albion and Jill Nagg and her husband Tim of Erie; five grandchildren, Cooper, Karli, Kendall, Ashlin, and Ally; a brother, Jeffrey Heidelbach and his wife Kathy of New Eagle; her mother-in-law, Hope Adams of Meadville; and nieces and nephews. There are no services.

Darl Leroy Emings

Darl Leroy Emings, age 70, of New Bethlehem passed away Friday evening, May 2, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a sudden illness.

Born August 22, 1943 in Brookville, he was a son of the late Richard and Margaret Trayer Emings.

He married the former Karen L. Hayes on September 28, 1963 and she survives.

Darl was self-employed as the owner and operator of the Hayes Machine Shop in New Bethlehem. He also owned and operated the B & L Skeet Range, also in New Bethlehem.

He was of the protestant faith.

Darl was a member of the Loyal Order of the MOOSE in New Bethlehem and the VFW and R.V. Sportsmen Clubs.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and boating and shared his love of the outdoors with area youth through his involvement with “Fish for Fun” and “Clarion County Youth Field Days.”

Darl loved spending time with his family and enjoyed summers in Rimer along the Allegheny River.

In addition to his wife, Karen, he is survived by their children: Tammy Catlos and her husband, Michael, of Vandergrift and Scott Emings and his wife, Michele, of Hawthorn; three granddaughters: Lauren Lekowak and her husband, David, of Brookville and Brooke Emings and Mikaela Emings, both of Hawthorn.

Darl is also survived by a brother: Joseph Emings and his wife, Shirley, of Strattanville and a sister, Kay Bish of Brookville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law, Bucky and Gerry Hayes.

Family and friends will be received from 1-4 and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday May 6, 2014 at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chapel, 233 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Ben Shindledecker officiating over the service.

Interment will take place in the New Bethlehem Cemetery.

Edwin Henry Knight

Edwin Henry Knight, age 80, Salem, completed his earthly journey May 1 at 9:15 p.m. while a patient at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 24, 1933 to James and Dillie (Neal) Knight in Oil City, PA. He is survived by his faithful and loving wife, Alice Jane (Wise) Knight whom he married on Sept. 24, 1951. A son, Frederick (Denise) of Salem and a daughter, Laura (Randy) Justice of Mt. Orab, OH., 2 sisters, Elva Fink and Josie Knight both of Oil City,PA. His grandchildren Paul (Sharon) Knight, Scott (Mikie) Knight, Brandon (Priscilla) Knight, Tosha (Ryan) Leimberger, Travis (Jennifer) Justice, Tawnya (Andrew) Carter, Trisha (Jon) Marshall and Tyler (Jaimi) Justice, a grand daughter-in-law Eunice Knight, Thirteen great-grandchildren.

While in high school he was employed at Clark’s Donut Shop in Oil City and he loved to bake and was known for his cinnamon rolls. He then worked at the Pennsoil Refinery in Rouseville, PA for 10 years. The next 24 years he worked for Penn Power as a diesel mechanic until his retirement in 1990. He lived the next 14 years in Hobe Sound, FL and in 2004 returned to Salem, OH to be near family. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Rev. W.A. Robbie, a half brother, Charles Knight , half-sister, Mattie Clark, a bother, John and a granddaughter Tiffany Dawn Justice. When he was able he attended the Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, from 6 to 8 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greensien & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services,(1617 East State Street, Salem, Ohio 44460) and on Saturday from noon to 2 PM at the Oak Grove Church ( 10 Oak Grove Road, Mercer, Pa.)

The funeral services will be on Saturday, 2 PM at the Oak Grove Church with the Rev Stanley Grabill of the Salem church officiating. Teresa Irene Hartle Caldwell

Teresa Irene Hartle Caldwell, 86, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, May 4, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family’s love, following a courageous battle with dementia.

Born at home on July 5, 1927, in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Folsom Hartle.

Teresa attended Immaculate Conception School as a child, graduated from Clarion High School, and worked as a legal secretary for Rudy Whitmer in Clarion.

She married her childhood sweetheart James Emerson Caldwell Sr. on September 3, 1947.  He preceded her in death on March 4, 1998.  Together they owned and operated Emerson’s Restaurant in Clarion for 39 years.  Teresa’s secret recipe for Astronaut sauce is still in demand.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion her entire life.

Teresa was devoted to family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved to cook and feed family and friends.  Food was love, and love was family, and nothing made her happier than a houseful of people talking, laughing and eating.

“Family is everything” was her motto and how she lived her life.  She dedicated herself to helping family, friends and neighbors.

Survivors include two sons, James Caldwell and wife Maddy of State College, and Robert Caldwell of Clarion; two daughters, Katrina Mumford and husband John of Titusville, and Margaret Mealy of Madera, California; seven grandchildren, Andrew Mumford and wife Jenny of Oil City; Jenni Mumford Irving and husband Barry of Erie; Abbey Mumford Lee and husband Scott of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania; Chad Mealy and Staci McWilliams of Butler;  Hilary Caldwell of Washington, DC; Ariana Caldwell of State College; Matthew Mealy of Madera, California; and nine great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jack Mumford; Griffin, Devin, and Brennan Irving; Mollie, Grace and Sophie Lee; and Natalia Mealy.

Also surviving is a sister, Madelyn Heagerty of Clarion, numerous and dear nieces and nephews, and close friend JoAnne Grine of Clarion.

In addition to her husband and parents, Teresa was preceded in death by sisters Ann Magrini and Jane Cyphert; brothers Paul Hartle, Claire Hartle, Jerome Hartle, Rich Hartle, and infant brother Robert.

In keeping with Teresa’s wishes, there will be no public viewing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion, with the Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church, presiding.  Entombment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum.

Rena M. Serventi Pacy

Rena Pacy, 89, of 748 Lawsonham Street, Rimersburg died early Sunday, May 4th, 2014.

She died at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 22, 1925 in Sarah Furnace, the daughter of the late Angelo and Ida Del Santi Serventi.

She was married to James Pacy on June 24, 1945 and was married for 52 years. She was a homemaker and a member of St.Richard’s Catholic Church in Rimersburg. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Rena was loved dearly by her family and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly (Walter) Hilliard of Rimersburg, her son-in-law Donald Hetrick of Winston-Salem, NC, her four grandchildren Marci (Jason) Kelley of Butler, Heather (Randy) McKay of Moon Township, Todd (Lisa) Hetrick, Chad (Beth) Hetrick of Winston-Salem, NC, and nine great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Mary Brewer of Leechburg, Rose Montali of Kiski Township, sister-in-law Rose Serventi, and a special friend Pat Burns Curdo of Rimersburg. In addition to her parents, sisters Ernestina Pacy, Alda Bernini, Louise Bottali, and brothers Primo and Bruno Serventi, she was preceded in death by her husband James in 1997 and her daughter Lorraine in 2013.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday, May 7,2014 at the Varner Funeral Home of Rimersburg, 583 Main Street, in Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 10am. Thursday May 8, 2014 from the St. Richards Church with Rev. William Kuba,Pastor. Interment will follow in the East Brady St. Eusebius Cemetery.

Marilyn “Hartzell” Smerkar

Marilyn “Hartzell” Smerkar, 77 of Marble died early Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Clareview Nursing & Rehab Center in Sligo following an extended illness.

Born July 9, 1936 in Elmo, she was the daughter of George and Gladys “Marcer” Hartzell. On July 21, 1962 she married William Smerkar of Fryburg and he survives. After 30 years of service Marilyn retired from the L.E.F. & C. Railroad as a corporate secretary. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. Marilyn enjoyed reading, watching the Pirates and the Penguins and especially loved spending time with her grandkids.

Along with her husband she is survived by a son Rodney Smerkar and his wife Wendy of O’Fallon, MO, a daughter Shelly Ruud and her husband Eric of Aliquippa, two grandchildren Kylie Fitzgerald of Aliquippa and Lauren Smerkar of O’Fallon, MO. Also surviving are a sister Helen Jean Patton of Ft. Myers, FL, three brothers William Hartzell of North Carolina, Jack Hartzell and his wife Mary Kay of O’Fallon, MO, Daryl Hartzell and his wife Donna of Fort Mill, SC, and a sister in law Rosalie Hartzell of Knox.

Along with her parents Marilyn was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Hartzell.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday May 7, at the Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Liberty St. Clarion. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. in the church with Rev. B. LaMounte “Monty” Sayers officiating. Interment will follow at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum. Marilyn’s family would like to thank Dr. Philip Walker for the excellent care he provided Marilyn with over the years. The McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, 504 East Penn. David C. Moronski, 58, of Grand Valley, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning while working in Grand Valley.

David was born on December 25, 1955 in Titusville, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Hays Moronski. He was married to Debra Graves on April 23, 1977 at Corry, PA.

David was a graduate of the Youngsville High School, class of 1974. He had been self employed as a logger since 1981.

He was a member of the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed hunting, being in the woods, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a NASCAR fan.

David is survived by his wife of Grand Valley; a son, Scott Moronski and his girlfriend Shelly Powell of Spartansburg; four brothers, Joseph Moronski and wife Carolyn of Clarence, NY, Glenn Moronski of Amosa, FL, George Moronski of Marienville, and Richard Moronski and wife Jan of Grand Valley; three sisters, Linda Carlson and husband Ken of Tonawanda, NY, Virginia Adessa and husband Louis of Horsehead, NY, and Judy Hepler and husband Bill of Amosa, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald A. Moronski, Sr.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ralph Culp, pastor of the Grand Valley United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Sanford Cemetery.

Margaret Alice DiDominic Lopez , 72, a resident of the Caring Place in Franklin and formerly of Oil City passed away peacefully Tuesday Morning May 6, 2014 surrounded by her familys love.

Born Oct. 23, 1941 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Dominic DiDominic & Alesandria (Alice) Delucia Adams.

Margaret was a member of the Red Hats.

She enjoyed taking walks, reading and Italian Cooking.

She was a beautician and had worked at Blair’s in earlier years.

Margaret is survived by two sons, Scott McCauley & his wife Sherry of Franklin, Kevin McCauley & his companion Lisa of Fryburg, Her grandchildren, Megan McCauley, Jason McCauley, Joel McCauley, Jerome McCauley, Jordan McCauley and Jade McCauley.

She is also survived by her brothers, Nick DiDominic & his wife Georgia of Oil City, Jack DiDominic & his wife Carol of Las Vegas, Bill DiDominic of Palm Springs, And her sister, Marie Green & herhusband Ted of Rocky Grove, Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers John DiDominic and Carmine DiDominic.

The Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Raymond Ross Garlick, 80 of Worth Township, passed away at 6 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.

Mr. Garlick was born Dec. 26, 1933, in Coraopolis, Allegheny County, to William Russell Garlick and Margaret Osenbaugh Garlick.

He retired from the Air Force and Cooper Energy Services, Grove City. Mr. Garlick owned and operated Laurie’s Country Station in Polk from 1979 to 2006.

Raymond was of the Methodist faith.

His wife, the former Dorothy E Ohler, whom he married Nov. 8, 1954, survives at home.

Also surviving are: three daughters, Danna L. Kightlinger and her husband Charles, Sandy Lake; Laura L. Bowlin and her husband Gerald, Jackson Center; and Sandra J. Mahoney and her husband Joseph, Seneca, Venango County; four grandchildren, Charles and Elizabeth Kightlinger; Christina Beggs and her husband Alexander; and Cassidy Bowlin; and a great-granddaughter, McKenna Fritsche; two sisters, Patricia Burrows and her husband Robert, Millbrook; and Sarah Wildman, Georgia; and two brothers, Earl Garlick and his wife Louise; and Robert Garlick and his wife Patricia, all Baden, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Beatrice Strouss, Henrietta May Kellogg and Laura Clayton.

Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (5-9-14) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (5-10-14) in the funeral home with the Rev. Willard Morse, visitation pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City, officiating.

Interment with military honors will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.

H. Burton Fisher, 77, of Fishers, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 26, 1937 to Harold and Evelyn (Dunkle) Fisher in Blairs Corner, Pennsylvania.

Burt proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of Spirit of Joy Church in Indianapolis. For 46 years, he worked in design and packaging in the glass industry, first with Knox Glass in Knox, PA, and then finally with Saint Gobain Glass in Muncie. Burt was a 50-year member of Edenburg Lodge F&AM #550 in Knox, PA, and also a member of Venango Lodge of Perfection in Oil City, PA, and Coudersport Scottish Rite in Coudersport, PA. He achieved “Tiger” status as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, was involved with the Midwest Food Bank, Kid’s Against Hunger program, and built toys with the Central Indiana Woodworkers Association. Burt also enjoyed woodworking, stained glass, wine making, and golf.

He is survived by his wife, June Fisher; daughter, Susan Fisher (Brad Bucknam); son, Christopher Fisher (Rae-Anne Galarneau); grandchildren, Courtney and Hailey Fisher, and Taylor and Jordan Galarneau; and sister, Kay Say.

Burt was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 9, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers, with Pastor Mark Wilhelm officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 8 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.

Lori Ann Rottman Campbell, 41, of Karns City, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born on May 13, 1972 Lori was the daughter of Bob Rottman Sr. and Gloria Slaugenhoup Fair. She was raised by her paternal grandparents, Ludwig and Mary Jane (Sheakley) Rottman of Karns City.

Lori was a 1990 graduate of Karns City High School and had been active in choir, band, and volleyball. She had been employed at Taylors Riverside in Petrolia as assistant manager from 1988-1996 and also at Marmon Keystone in East Butler as a value added supervisor from 1997 – 2013. Lori was protestant and attended Fairview Presbyterian Church as a youth. She enjoyed painting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Lori was a baseball coach for the Petrolia Valley from 1997 – 2000 and enjoyed attending her son Cole’s UAA games.

Lori was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her husband, Mike, whom she married on November 23, 2007. Also surviving is her son, Cole Rottman of Karns City, her mother, Gloria (Slaugenhoup) Fair of Karns City, her father, Bob Rottman Sr. of Karns City, her siblings, Tammy Rottman Patton and her husband, Paul, of Butler, Bob Rottman Jr. and his wife, Jen, of Eau Claire, and Jason Rottman of Knox; her nieces and nephews, Jayden Rose, Madison Faith, Elizabeth Grace, Wilbert Michael, Abigail Elizabeth, Brianna Joelle, and Greyson Brooke; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Brian and Michelle (Henry) Campbell of Knox.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Eleanor Slaugenhoup, her paternal grandparents, Ludwig and Mary Jane Rottman, and her step father, Daniel Fair.

A private funeral service officiated by the Rev. Brent McMasters, pastor of Six Points Church of God of Prophecy, will be held at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City.

Albie L. Smith

Albie L. Smith, 50, of Parker, Pa., passed away Wednesday afternoon at the UPMC Northwest Hospital after a sudden illness.

Born on March 9, 1964, he was the son of Gene and Eva Stewart Smith who survive. Albie was a truck driver for most of his life and was working for Mathy Trucking of Minnesota, before his illness prevented him from driving.

In addition to his parents, Albie his survived by: Four daughters: Monica Smith of Knox, Pa.; Rebecca (Justin) Hartzell of Knox, Pa; Katherine Smith of Knox, Pa; and Cassie Schwalm of Knox, Pa. Two sons: Dwayne Rubio and Justin Richmond, both of Parker, Pa. One granddaughter: Emma Jean Rubio. One grandson: Michael Ortz.

He is also survived by four sisters and six brothers. Albie was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Friends will be received at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home (201 S. Wayne St.) Parker, Pa. on Saturday the 10th from 2-4 & 6-8PM.

Margaret N. Murphy, 87, of Clarion, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Clarion Hospital after a long illness.

Born on May 23, 1926 in East Brady; she was the daughter of James P. and Margaret “Annie” Cannon McClaine.

Margaret was a graduate of East Brady High School, where she was Valedictorian of her class.

She was married on June 20, 1950 to Henry “Murph” J. Murphy.

Margaret worked as the secretary at the Clarion Limestone High School from May 24, 1973 to April 6, 1990.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion.

Margaret loved watching old movies, especially Now Voyager, reading, and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Michael J. Murphy and his wife, Kathy, of Clarion, Patty A. Murphy of Johnstown, Dr. Kathleen R. Murphy of Shippenville, and James P. Murphy and his wife, Marcy, of DuBois; three grandchildren, Dr. Kelli Murphy of Williamsport, MD, Ryan Schlosser of Raleigh, NC, and Megan McGoron Esq. and her husband, David, of Bellefonte; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry “Murph” Murphy on April 12, 2006; infant son, Patrick; and sister, Stella Craig; beloved dog, Ashley; and beloved cat, Holly.

Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Wake service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2014, in the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Immaculate Conception Church of Clarion with Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church, presiding.

Interment will be held in the Cedarview Memorial Park Mausoleum in Strattanville.

Mabel E. Johnston, 87, of 6 Church St. Rouseville, PA. died at 5:50 A.M. Thursday May 8, 2014 at her home after an extended illness.

Born August 6, 1926 in Holmes County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. & Cleila Miller Dunkel.

Mabel was married to Roy J. Johnston on Aug. 14, 1950 in Oil City, PA. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2004.

Mabel was an active member of the Mars VFW Auxiliary and Cooties Organizations.

She had worked at several places in Oil City and Mars, PA. where she was employed as a waitress, cashier, housekeeper and a caregiver.

Mrs. Johnston enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Matthew R. Sargent with whom she made her home, Two grandchildren, Matthew Sargent Jr & his wife Kelly of San Antonio, TX, Melissa Sargent of Rouseville, Great Grandchildren, Jennifer Sargent of Waipahu, HI, Matthew R. Sargent of San Antonio, TX, Elizabeth Sargent of Potage, IN, And 3 great – great grandchildren, Mabel is also survived by two brothers, Ernest Dunkel & his wife Peg of Seneca, Charles Dunkel & his fiancé Carol Long of Spring Creek, Two sisters, Bernadine Allen & her husband William of Oil City, Gertrude McBride of Oil City, As well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert H. Dunkel and Donald Dunkel, And by two sisters, Ilah Meehan and Pearl Gegogine.

Friends will be received from 12-2 and from 4-6 on Saturday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Saturday in the Funeral Home with Rev. Gale Boocks, of the Rouseville United Methodist Church, Presiding.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Rouseville Volunteer Fire Dept. or to the Hospice of Crawford County.

Harold “Bunk” Victor Panciera

Harold “Bunk” Victor Panciera, age 86, a life-long resident of New Bethlehem, passed away May 7, 2014 after a lengthy illness.

Born in South Bethlehem on February 17, 1928, he was a son of the late John Anthony and Clara Isabel (Criswell) Panciera.

He married Verna L. Collier on December 17, 1955 in St. Charles Catholic Church. She survives.

He was a graduate of New Bethlehem High School. He was a Seaman 1st Class in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He retired in 1989 as a truck driver for H.M. Skinner and Sons.

Bunk loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed camping, playing cards, telling stories and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Verna; 3 daughters: Denise Kahle and her husband, Dana of Shippenville; Debra Sigworth and her husband, William of Mayport; and Dana Kifer and her husband, Perry of Curllsville; 5 grandchildren: Megan Wensel and her husband Keith of Moon Township; Levi Sigworth of New Brunswick, NJ; Laci Sigworth Weston and her husband, Mike of Brunswick, ME; Jacob Kifer and his wife, Kayla of Rimersburg; and Caleb Kifer of Clarion; and 3 great- grandchildren: Laiken Wensel, Logan Wensel, and Taylor Kifer.

Bunk is also survived by a sister, Kaye Lucas and husband, Duane of New Castle.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters.

At Bunk’s firm request there will be no public visitation or service.

Entombment will follow in the New Bethlehem Cemetery Mausoleum.

Doris E. WilliamsDoris E. Williams, 80, of Clarion, died on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Clarion Hospital.

Born on November 4, 1933 in Limestone Township; she was the daughter of Amos W. and Golda P. Bigley Reynolds.

She was married to Richard J. Williams, who preceded her in death.

Doris worked at the Owens-Illinois Glass Plant, where she retired after 30 years.

She was a member of the New Rehoboth Greenville Presbyterian Church of Clarion.

Doris enjoyed gardening, music, loved her cats, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Beverly A. Eustice of Orlando, Florida, Richard J. Eustice and his wife, Dawn, of Clarion, Jennie L. Eustice of Clarion, and Marcia K. Eustice of Verona; a stepson, Barry Williams and his partner, Deb Ochs, of Miola; a brother-in-law, Claude Stewart and his partner, Marge, of New Castle; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five sisters, Mary Crick, Irene Stewart, Evelyn McEntire, Eleanor Clark, and Virginia McCall; and a brother, Donald Reynolds.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the New Rehoboth Greenville Presbyterian Church, Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the New Rehoboth Greenville Presbyterian Church, Clarion, with Rev. James Dietrich, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be held in the New Rehoboth Church Cemetery.
