Joanne L. Raybuck

Joanne L. Raybuck, 80 of Fairmount City, died on Tuesday evening, May 13, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville. She was born on March 14, 1934 in Deanville and daughter of Harris B. and Phyllis A. (Shindledecker) George. She was married on August 26, 1950 to William H. Raybuck and he survives.

She was a homemaker and she decorated wedding cakes for many years. She taught cake decorating and candy making at Vo-Tech for 12 years. Joanne joined the Deanville Baptist Church on June 29, 1947 which is now the Springside Baptist Church. She was very active in the church as Sunday School secretary, a teacher of the Beginners, Seniors, and Adult Ladies classes, music chairman, sang in the choir, and served on the Hospitality Committee and Flower Committee. She was also active in her community as a Republican Committee Woman in Limestone Township, a 4 – H Leader and served on the American Red Cross Board.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters; Vicki Raybuck of Roseville, Karen Shovestull and her husband Andy of Lucinda and Rhonda Thompson and her husband Bob of Slippery Rock, a son, Ken Raybuck and his wife Karen of Fairmount City, seven grandchildren; Leah Ellenberger, Luke Shovestull, Doug Raybuck, Tim Raybuck, Tyler Raybuck, Jesse Thompson and Johannah Thompson, three great grandchildren; Molly, Madison and Jackson, four sisters; Agatha Hill and husband Frank of Mission Viejo, CA, Nancy Allen and husband Jim of Distant, Frances George of Solvang, CA and Bonnie Pence and husband Ernie of Distant and one brother, Robert George and his wife Nancy of Deanville.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, from 1 – 4 and 6 – 9 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 17, at the Springside Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Tim Tucker officiating.

There will be viewing at the church prior to the funeral service from 10 – 11.

Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery in Frogtown.

Pamela Jean Swab, (Leemhuis), 47, of Altamonte Springs, passed away on May 11, 2014.

Born in Erie, PA, she moved to Central Florida in 1999.

She graduated from Franklin H.S. in 1984 and attended Oil City VoTech.

Pam was an LPN for 25 years for ACC Courtland.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Swab; parents, John (Kim) Leemhuis, Kay (Jerry) Malone; siblings, Cynthia (Daniel) Miller, John (Carol) Leemhuis Jr., and Jennifer(Harold) Scannell; numerous nieces and nephews and her furry friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday at noon at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 92 Weatherfield Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 also at the funeral home.

Barbara L. (Coller) Minich

Barbara L. (Coller) Minich, 79 of Fairmount City, went to be with her Heavenly Father after a short battle with lung cancer, Thursday morning, May 15, 2014 at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning. Born September 5, 1934 in Oak Ridge she was the daughter of Harry and Mary (Smith) Horne, Sr. She married James C. “Dale” Minich on January 11, 1997 he survives.

Barb was a homemaker, and a member of the Cornerstone Church of God in Fairmount City. She was secretary for the Women’s Ministry and helped with the church breakfasts.

She is survived by one son; Paul S. Raub of Mount Pleasant, one daughter; Trena Raub of Butler, six step children; James Coller and wife Kelly of Freeport, Ginny Burris and husband Raymond of Freeport, Penny Mills and husband Bob of Kittanning, Judy Merryman and husband John of Kittanning, Ruth Emery and her companion Bob of Freeport and Vickie Manners of New Bethlehem, sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two sisters; Pat Burford of Oak Ridge, and Karen Rearick of New Bethlehem.

She is preceded in death by both parents; two husbands James Raub and Roy Coller, two sons; Matthew Coller and Paul Raub, a brother, Harry L. Horne, Jr. and two sisters Gladys Barndollar and Donna Rupp.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 on Saturday, May 17 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 18, at 2:00 pm at the Cornerstone Church of God in Fairmount City with Pastor Mike Hicks officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.

Priscilla G. “Hun” McCool, 82, a resident of 539 Coopers-town Road, Jackson Township; died peacfully at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was botrn March 1, 1932 in Raymilton, a beloved daughter of the late: Albert and Goldie Beach Shingle-decker.

Interment will be in Cooperstown Cemetery.

Robert Dean Anderson

Robert Dean Anderson, Sr., 91, of Oil City, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, following a brief illness.

Born January 26, 1923 in Oil City, he was a son of the late James and Meredith E. Tuholski Anderson.

Robert graduated from Oil City High School in 1941 and his first job was at the Pennzoil Refinery. Soon after, he enlisted in the US Army and was quickly sent over to fight in World War II. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge where his unit was captured and he became a prisoner of war.

After the war, he came home and married Shirlie A. Beightol in August 1946. They have been happily married for 68 years.

Robert then attended Auburn University and graduated in 1948 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then began working at the Oil Well Supply, US Steel Corp, in Oil City until he retired in 1986 after 37 years of service.

He bought a home at 22 East Fifth Street in 1955 and has resided there since.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oil City for 60 years, where he was a Deacon, treasurer, on the Board of Christian Education, and was always working in the church.

Recently he has been attending Trinity United Methodist Church.

Robert belongs to the American Legion Post 32 in Oil City and the American Legion Post in Titusville.

He loved the outdoors and hunting. He was an all-around fix-it man and always working on something.

He gave of himself whether it be time or money to those in need.

Surviving are his wife, Shirlie Anderson; four children, Robert Anderson, Jr., Dave Anderson and wife Becky, Linda Fischer, and Barb Kunselman and husband Don.

Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren, Lori Anderson, Jesse Anderson, Brook Beck, Andy Fischer, Jamie Allen, Michael Fischer, James Anderson, and Amanda Anderson; and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Anderson; and two grandchildren, Bejay and Denise Anderson.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Saturday from 4 to 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 pm Sunday with the Rev. Don Rudge, officiating.

Interment will be in Mill Creek Cemetery, Utica.

James O. Duncan Jr.

James O. Duncan Jr., 74, left his Loved Ones on May 14, 2014 at DuBois Regional Medical Center. He suffered a massive heart attack.

Born on December 10, 1939, in Sligo, PA, he was “Son” to James Duncan Sr, and Millie Guntrum Duncan. He was “Jim” to his loving wife of 53 years – Judy Craig Duncan. He was “Dad” to his girls and their hubbies – Kelly and Dave Webb of State College, PA, and Karla and Ron Cyphert of Seminole, PA. He was “Papa” to his 8 grandchildren – Julie, Rachel, Duncan, Chloe and Olivia Webb, and Corey, Josie, and Noah Cyphert. He was “Jimmie” to his only sibling – Janie Corbett and husband Burr of Clarion. He was “Brother-in-law” to Gloria and Mike Doshen of Leechburg, PA. He was “Best Friend” to his boxer Maggie. Our precious circle has been broken.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim graduated from Union Joint High School with the Class of 1958.

He served his country proudly, being in the Army from 1960 – 1963. During the post Korean War, he served guarding the DMZ. Jim was chosen to serve as an Honor Guard to President John F. Kennedy on one of his international visits.

Jim was a hard worker all of his life, working at Glass Containers at Parker, C & K Coal, Crawford Furniture, and retiring in 2007 from Union School District.

He was a sports enthusiast: over the years he played basketball, football, softball, and practiced martial arts. He also enjoyed watching sports from his favorite spot on the couch. His favorite pastimes included hunting, riding horses, watching Westerns on TV, being with his friends at the VFW, working in his yard, walking his dog, and his yearly family vacation to Ocean City, NJ, where he had a chance to watch his family grow over the years. He loved his grandchildren unconditionally.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday May 17, 2014 at the Varner Funeral Home of Rimersburg, 583 Main St. Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday May 18, 2014 from the funeral home, with the Rev. Stephanie Weaver, pastor of the Sligo Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Full Military Honors will be accorded by the ceremonial squads of the Shearer-Shick American Legion and the VFW Post 7132 both of Rimersburg.

William Paul Haylett

William Paul Haylett, 87, of Polk, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 15th, at the Golden Living Center in Titusville, following a lengthy illness.

Born April 6, 1927 in Frenchcreek Twp., Bill was the son of the late William R. and Minnie Bell Carey Haylett. He was married November 29, 1947 to the former Doris M. Snyder, who survives.

Bill was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He enlisted at the age of 17. While in the Navy, he was stationed in the Pacific and served aboard 3 ships, which were “shot out from under him”. He left the Navy at the end of WWII, but reenlisted in 1948. Bill had a military career spanning a total of 30 years – 23 years active duty and 7 years in the Reserves. Throughout his military career, he was stationed at many places – Lakehurst, NJ, Elizabeth City, NC, Patuxent River, MD, Jacksonville, FL, and Rota, Spain. It was in Spain that his youngest daughter, Willie, was born. He was a metal smith, welder, and worked on aircraft. Because of his military career, Bill was able to travel all over the world, and his family lived with him on all the military bases he was stationed at. After retiring from the Navy, Bill was employed at Polk Center as a Resident Service Aide for 20 years, and retired from there in 1986.

Bill was instrumental in helping organize the Venango Fire Police, in which he remained very active until recently. He was a member of the Utica Volunteer Fire Department, the Polk Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Police. He joined the Jesse Greer VFW #1835 after returning home from WWII, and eventually served every office in both local and District 19 VFWs. He served as Commander, District 19 Commander and Commander of North West County Council. He helped with and marched in many local parades with the VFW Color Guard, and volunteered at Venango County 4-H Fairs as Traffic Director, and also sold “Bubby Poppies” every May for the VFW. Bill and his wife, Doris, could always be seen directing traffic at parades, and helping park cars at the fairgrounds. His volunteer hours amounted to over 300 hours.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughter, Doris “Dottie” A. Reese and her husband, Todd, of Franklin; his brother, Daryl Lee Haylett, of Sandy Lake; and his sister, Lois Smith Morford, of Franklin.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Willie Pauline Haylett; his sisters, Katherine Smith and Mary May Cress; and his brothers, Clarence B. Haylett, James Ralph Haylett, Dale Haylett, and Elmer Haylett.

Friends and family of Bill will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Sunday, May 18th from2 to 6 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, May 19th at 11 a.m. with Rev. William E. Hasting, pastor of Seneca United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Millcreek Cemetery where full Military Honors will be accorded by the local V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.

Thomas B. “Herk” Clark

Thomas B. “Herk” Clark, 78, of Marble passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family.

Born on January 31, 1936 in Oil City he was the son of Claude “Pat” and Hilda Hartle Clark Crusan who preceded him in death.

Thomas graduated in 1954 from Shippenville High School.

On November 20, 1953 he was wed to the former Lenore Kepple who preceded him in death in 1991.

He attended Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion.

Thomas worked as a project Foreman for Penn-Dot and he retired from there.

In his spare time Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and also collecting antiques and cut glass. In his younger days he was the lead singer in several popular local bands.

Thomas is survived by his children: Jill Over and husband Lawrence of Marble; Cyrus Clark and wife Brenda of Marble; Derita Carroll and husband Jim of Marble; and Rachel Clark of Cranberry Twp. Also surviving are brothers Greg and Mark Clark and sisters Joanne Switzer and Kathleen Thompson. Grandchildren surviving include: Kristen Henry and husband Luke of Erie; Amanda Clark of Hatteras NC; Brenton Clark and fiancee Brianna Musser of Shippensburg; Ian and Eva Carroll of Marble; Brianna and Cameron Regester of Cranberry Twp. A great-granddaughter Nora Henry and step-mother Phyllis Clark Traister also survive.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lenore, an infant sister Carol, a brother Dave Clark, and an infant grandson.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 9pm on Sunday, May 18, 2014 and 10am to 11am on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg with Rev. Jake Jacobson, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion as the celebrant. Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery following the service.

Rosebelle L. Schmader, 93, a resident of Oakwood Heights in Oil City died at 8:55 P.M. Thursday May 15, 2014 after an extended illness.

Born April 24, 1921 in Oil City, PA. , she was the daughter of the late Adam J. & Belle  M. McCauley Brozeski.

Rosebelle was a graduate of Oil City High School.

She was married to Raymond E. Schmader on April 18, 1938 in the Clarion County Courthouse and he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1995.

A homemaker, she enjoyed antiques, going to Flea Markets, spending time with her family and she enjoyed her animals.

Mrs. Schmader was a member of St. Stephen’s Church.

She is survived by a son Terry Schmader & his wife  Sandy of Fruita, CO; a daughter Ann Switzer & her husband Richard of Oil City; a daughter-in-law Joane Schmader of Oil City; 11 Grandchildren Debbie Allen, David Schmader, Jack Schmader, Lori Lee Schmader, Renda Ann Bates, Michelle Coulter, Theresa Schmader, Christina Hunt, Richard Switzer Jr., Michael Switzer and James Switzer, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Jack Schmader and her sister Ethylnn Tarr.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 7-9 P.M. on Monday in the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at  11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at St. Stephen’s Church with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, Pastor, Presiding .

Interment will be in Fertigs Cemetery.

Harold L. “Bub” Blauser

Harold L. “Bub” Blauser, 74, of 405 ½ E. Second St. Oil City, PA. died at 2:06 A.M. Thursday May 15, 2014 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie after an extended illness.

Born March 8, 1940 in Saginaw, MI, he was the son of the late Harold S. Blauser & Annamae Bickel Blauser.

He attended Cranberry High School.

On May 1, 2007 he was married to Diana L. Mallory in Franklin and she survives.

Mr. Blauser was a member of the Eagles Club and a former member of V.F.W. Post 464.

He enjoyed hunting and his many dogs.

Bub was formerly the assistant manager of the A & P. Market and the manager of the Lucky 11 car wash, more recently he had been employed as the Grocery manager at the Oil City Giant Eagle.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Stephen L. Blauser of Oil City, Melanie Letta & her husband Nick of Oil City, Pamela J. Voigt & her husband Frank of Oil City; a step son Daniel M. Franklin of Oil City; 10 Grandchildren, Nicholas & Leigh Ann Letta, Daniel & Stephanie Kulling, Andrew O’Neil, Marcella, Joshua and Deanna Voigt, Sabrina Buzard and Linda Moffitt; 6 Great Grandchildren; his brothers and sisters Wendell L. Blauser of Brunswick, OH

He was preceded in death by a daughter Cheryl L. Blauser, a grandson Stephen O’Neil, a sister Sally A. Reasor, a brother Larry D. Blauser and a sister-in-law Midge Blauser.

Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

May C. Garris, 96, of Sugar Creek Station died at 7:30 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Sugar Creek Station.

She was born April 16, 1918, in Euclid, Pennsylvania. May was the daughter of the late Allen and Belle (Kerr) Carothers.

May graduated from West Sunbury Vocational School.

On December 23, 1938, she was married to Daniel Chester Garris, who preceded her in death on December 4, 1960.

She was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin .

May worked as a seamstress at Polk Center. May loved to sew and quilt, and she belonged to many quilting groups in the community. She enjoyed flower gardening and most enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her five children, Gerald Garris and his wife, Barbara, of Franklin, Richard Garris and his wife, Sara, of Franklin, Myrna Pease of Lima, New York, Debra Best and her husband, Leroy, of Emlenton,and Daniel Garris of Franklin. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Jamison Carothers, Robert Carothers and Charles Carothers; one sister, Rachel Weldon; her granddaughter, Jamie Jacoby; and great-great-grandson, Gage Fink.

There will be a funeral service for May at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin.

Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Knox.

Patricia Ann DeLoe, age 82, of Knox, passed away Thursday morning, May 15, 2014 at the Clarion Hospital.

Born February 15, 1932 in Limestone, New York, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Carl Bickel and Rosalind Clara Yashinski Bickel.

She married Vern L. DeLoe on October 1, 1949 and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2002.

Patricia was a member of the Mt. Joy United Methodist Church in Knox and was very involved with church activities including, Sunday school, Bible study and church dinners.

She was a clerk at the former King’s Drug Store in Knox and a former Girl Scout leader.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Mary K. DeLoe of Knox; two brothers: Carl Bickel and his wife, Bessie, of Charlotte, North Carolina and Harry Bickel of Turkey City; three sisters: Joann DeLoe of Venus, Carol James of Texas and Jane Strauser and her husband, Fred, of Pine City and a nephew, Scott Bickel, of Knox, who was raised by Patricia.

Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L. DeLoe on February 4, 2005; three sisters, Margaret Buchanan, Lillian Dunkel and Betty Greek and an infant baby girl and infant baby boy.

Family and friends will be received from Noon-2 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 in the Mt. Joy United Methodist Church, 159 Mt. Joy Road, Knox.

Funeral services will be held in the church at 11 a.m. Monday with Reverend Dan Myers, pastor at Mt. Joy, officiating over the service.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery.

Bertha E. Wiseman

Bertha E. Wiseman, 91, of Rimersburg, PA, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Clarview Nursing Home with her family by her side.

She was born January 29, 1923 in Knox Dale, Jefferson Co., PA, the daughter of David and Bertha (Hill) King.

Bertha lived in Rimersburg all of her life and honorably served in the US Army during World War II. She worked as a cook and was immensely proud to be a veteran. During her time of service, she was awarded the WMC Service Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal, American Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Following her time in the army, Bertha worked as an inspector at Owens Illinois in Clarion for 35 years, retiring 1983. After leaving her job, she was excited to turn all of her attentions to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Baker Street Church of God and previously taught Sunday school at the Nazarene church. Bertha was a lifelong member of Disabled American Veterans and also belonged to American Legion Post 454 of Rimersburg. Reading the Bible was one of her favorite activities, and in her younger years enjoyed playing women’s softball. The Steelers and the Pirates were her favorite sports teams and she faithfully watched their games every week. Bertha was known for always wearing a hat, and will be best remembered for her strong Christian faith, devotion to her family and service to her country.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, James King and wife, Donna, and Pete Wiseman and wife, Pam, all of Rimersburg; grandchildren, Tim King and wife Tracy, Matt King and wife Linda, Chris Wiseman and wife Lori, Amy Wilson and husband Ryan, Dr. Bethany Wiseman and Kelli Kifer and husband Dustin; great-grandchildren, Zackary Wiseman, Sam Wiseman, Luke Wilson, Cole Wilson, Parker Wilson, Peyton Wilson, Andrew Kifer, Emma Kifer and Olivia Kifer; step-great-granddaughter, Morgan Prior; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Lisa Wiseman; brothers, John H., Ardell, Reynolds, Pete, James and Mark King; and sisters, Evelina Smith, Mary Rearick, Jenny Redick and Marie King.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the Baker Street Church of God, 160 Veteran St., Rimersburg, with the Rev. John A. Milliron officiating.

Burial will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA where full military honors will be presented by the Rimersburg VFW Post #7132 and American Legion Post #454.

Francis George “Pete” Karg

Francis George “Pete” Karg, 96, of 1124 ½ East Second St, Oil City, entered into eternal rest at 9:15 am Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Oakwood Heights in Oil City.

Born January 18, 1918 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Christopher and Cecelia Denslinger Karg.

Pete was raised in Oil City and graduated from Oil City High School.

He served during WW II in the United State Army Air Corps.

Throughout his adult life, Pete drove fuel oil trucks for Sinclair Oil Company to much of the surrounding area in which he lived.

He was a good historian and had many stories to tell about his community. He liked to be involved in helping those around him and often joined his brother, Bernard, in repairs and construction at his church.

Pete was a life-long member of St. Stephen Church and regularly attended the 7 am daily Mass.

He was an avid bowler at Seneca Lanes and attended City Council meeting with Tony Como.

Pete was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews, among whom is a special nephew who cared for him, John Tobin and wife Lynn and their daughters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, A. Bernard Karg and James C. Karg; three sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Singer, Anna Marie “Reese” Tobin and C. Katherine “Kate” Dechant; and a very special friend of many years, Woodine Homer.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Saturday in St. Stephen Church.

Entombment will be in the Bishop McManaman Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials contributions are suggested to the St. Stephen Church Second Century Fund or Oakwood Heights.

Joseph P. Park of Laurelbrooke Landing, Brookville, Pa. formerly of Jenks St. Brookville, Pa., died at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. on Thursday, May 29.

He was the beloved sun of Robert E. Park and Ethel Frost Park and was born June 29, 1921, at Eldred Twp., Brookville, Pa.

Park was married to Dorothy L. Nolph Park, but she passed away, July 29, 2007.

He worked as an operator for National Fuel Gas for over 30 years, and was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Brookville, Pa.

Park had one Daughter, Kathy Kesterholt (William) of Brookville, Pa. and one Son – Thomas R. Park (June) of Front Royal, VA.

He is survived by one Sister, Byrdis Beck of Alamonte Springs, Fl., three Ryan Kesterholt, Brian Park, and Christina Park and one great-grandchild, Jaxson Kesterholt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 5 brothers.

Internment will be at the Butler Cemetery located at Pinecreek Twp., Jefferson Co., Pa.

Ronald A. Bowser

Ronald A. Bowser, 88, of 1291 Huey Rd. Rimersburg died at 2:30 AM Weds. May 28, 2014 at Clarview Nursing & Rehab. Center near Sligo.

Born March 30, 1926 in Huey he was the son of Mont Aaron and Ellen Davis Bowser. Ron was a veteran of WW II, serving with the US Army in the European Theater. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, and the Victory Medal. Ron was a Golden Glove Boxer in the US Army.

He was married March 14, 1946 to Lois Koch and she survives. Ron was a coalminer for 40 years and he retired from Carpentertown Coal Co. at Templeton. He was a lifelong resident of Huey and lifelong member of the former Huey Church of God of Prophecy and now belonged to the New Athens Church of God of Prophecy near Rimersburg. He also was a member of the Shearer-Shick American Legion Post of Rimersburg.

In addition to his wife he survived a son; Eric Bowser and wife Paulette of Gainesville, FL, 2 daughters; Crystal Cramer of Clarion and Donna Swails and husband Guy of Sligo, 8 grandchildren; Christopher Bowser, Traci Bowser, Kim Roxbury, Aaron Cramer, Brant Cramer, Katie Guthrie, Liza Heberling and Blake Lantelme, and 6 greatgrandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Kem Bowser in 1975, his son-in-law Greg Cramer, sisters; Dorothy Kline, Cecil Johnston, and infants Jenny and Claire and brothers; Lawrence, Tom, Paul, George, John, Melvin, Hulbert, and Walter.

Ron was the last survivor of the 13 Bowser children.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday May 30, 2014 at the Varner Funeral Home, 1632 Bald Eagle St. in Sligo.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday from the funeral home with the Rev. Leonard Goughler, Pastor of the New Athens Church of God of Prophecy, officiating.

Military Honors will be accorded by the ceremonial squads of the Rimersburg American Legion and VFW at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Cedarview Memorial Park near Strattanville.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice, Perkins Rd. Clarion, PA 16214.
