Anna Marie Jordan, 86, a resident of The Caring Place Personal Care in Franklin, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. <!–more–>

Born September 27, 1926, in Jacksonville FL, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Jessie Eakin Puleo.

Mrs. Jordan lived all of her life in Venus and Oil City.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Oil City.

On November 20, 1946, she married Norman (Spike) Jordan, who preceded her in death on November 24, 1994.

Surviving are 3 children, Albert (Chip) Jordan and wife Sherry, and Edward Jordan and wife Pat, all of Seneca, and Deborah Culp and husband Bob of Vowinkle; 13 grandchildren, Bobby and Mindy Culp, Mark and Joey Culp, Ann and Paul Criswell, Matt and Tiffany Jordan, Scott and Maggie Jordan, Adam Jordan , and Angela and Rodger Romiski; and 15 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, James Puleo and wife Loraine of Oil City, and Carl Puleo of Connecticut; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Barb Jordan; and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance of her wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Venus Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Caring Place Personal Care, 103 N 13th St, Franklin PA 16323.

David G. Delavern

David G. Delavern, 54, of Emlenton, died Saturday, August 3, 2013, surrounded by family in his home.

Born September 19, 1958, in Erie PA, he was the son of the late Roy and Doris (Eakin) Delavern. Dave graduated from Technical Memorial High School in Erie and then worked for Pepsi in Erie for five years. He then moved to the Knox area where he worked for Gatesman’s Plumbing & Heating for 27 years. Dave loved spending time with his dog Brody, he had a kind heart and was always there to lend a helping hand. On June 8, 2009, Dave married Robin Whitling and she survives.

Along with his wife, Dave is survived by two sons, David Delavern Jr. of Lancaster OH, Steven Delavern and his wife Sharayah of Emlenton PA, two daughters Kari Heeter and her husband David of Brookville PA, Lisa Delavern and her fiancé Jason Chappel of Evans City PA and a step daughter Kayla Burkley and her husband Matthew of Anita PA. Also surviving are two grand children Wyatt Heeter of Brookville PA, Dominic Burkley of Anita PA, three sisters Connie Olszewski and her husband John of San Diego CA, Nancy Matson of San Diego CA, Bonnie Dye and her husband Tim of Kennerdell PA, and two brothers Bill Delavern and his wife Becky of Erie PA and James Delavern and his wife Regina of Erie PA.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. tomorrow at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc., Jonathan Weaver supervisor, 504 East Penn Ave., Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the funeral home with Rev. Ron Hunsberger officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Charitable Deeds in Knox, Pa.

Catherine “Kay” Frances Graham

Catherine “Kay” Frances Graham, 95, of Brookville, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at McKinley Health Center.

Born Sept. 1, 1918, in Brookville, she was one of six daughters of Hugh F. Lynch and Dora (Kline) Lynch. Kay was the last surviving daughter.

On Jan. 17, 1941, she was married to Jacob Clair Graham Jr. He preceded her in death in August of 1992.

Kay was a beautician who owned and operated Kay’s Beauty Shop for over 40 years.

Her enjoyments were knitting, puzzles, cards, bowling league and she was an avid Bingo player.

She was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters: Janice L. Lavely and husband Dr. Donald Lavely of Clarion, Barbara Mackins of Brookville and Kathleen Songer and husband Denny of Greensboro, N.C.; eight grandchildren: Dr. Dawn Martin, DVM, Dr. David Lavely and wife Tessie, James A. Lavely and wife Jacquie, Jay A. Lavely, Shane Mackins and wife Kelly, Mindy Mackins-Morton and husband John, Todd Henry and wife Tracey, and Shawna Wilson; 15 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Pat Fenton of State College and Carol Hoak of Brookville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, John Robert Graham; five sisters: Mary Dillon, Marguerite Lynch, Josephine Lynch, Gertrude Lynch and Elizabeth Swartz; and son in law, Joseph Mackins.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Brookville.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, celebrated by the Rev. Fr. William Laska.

Burial will be private at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brookville.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Graham’s memory to Laurelbrooke Assisted Living, c/o WRC Senior Services, 985 Route 28, Brookville, Pa., 15825.

Gary D. Stevens

Gary D. Stevens, 77, of County Line Road, Harrisville died at 7:33 p.m. Friday August 2, 2013 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

A son of Kenneth and Mary Walter Stevens he was a born in Harrisville on January 24, 1936. He attended Slippery Rock High School.

Gary was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had been a member of the Harrisville American Legion Post.

A heavy equipment operator he had worked for several area coal mining companies. His leisure time was spent tinkering with and mowing with his tractors and his dog. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his treasure.

On October 2, 1961 he married the former Carole Hiwiller, she survives along with a daughter Anita Stevens of Renfrew, two sons John Stevens and his companion Punkin Redmond and David Stevens and his wife Letha all of Harrisville; 4 grandchildren Amy Cornelius and her husband Josh of Harrisville, Alan Stevens of Greenville, Wesly Stevens and Kelsey Stevens both of Grove City; two great grandchildren Alexander and Annabella Cornelius; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Pat Shirey.

Friends will be received in the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will follow in Prairie Cemetery.

HoseyDeborah Joyce Hosey, 62, of 602 Wildcat Rd. Rimersburg died at 3 PM Sunday August 4, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born in Sligo on September 4, 1950, she was the daughter of Clarence and Kathleen Young Haggerty.

Deborah Joyce was married April 1, 1971, to Donald E. Hosey and he survives.

She was member of the Wildcat Alleghany Wesleyan Methodist Church near Rimersburg.

Deborah Joyce worked for 15 years at the former Bud’s Market in Rimersburg. She loved animals and was a big supporter of the Humane Society.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters Kathleen Hosey of Knox and Sylvia Hornberger of Rimersburg, 1 son Donald E. Hosey,Jr. and his wife Laurie of Rimersburg, 7 grandchildren April Albaugh, Krystal Clark, Scott Clark, Brad Cogswell, Shelly Cogswell, Wyatt Hosey and Xavier Hosey, and 1 greatgrandson Nicolas Clark.

She is also survived by 2 sisters Lois Workman of Clarion and Janet Albright of Clearfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Linda Mae and her brother Ken Haggerty.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday August 6, at the Varner Funeral Home of Rimersburg, 583 Main St. Rimersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday August 7, from the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Deeter, pastor of the Wildcat Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rimersburg Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Clarion Cancer Center.

GE DIGITAL CAMERARichard J. English, 85, of Oak St. Henry’s Bend, died Sunday Morning at his home after a period of declining health. 

Born Aug. 23, 1927 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Leo J. & Alice E. Seyboldt English.

Rich was a 1946 graduate of Oil City High School.

He was married on Oct. 5, 1957, in Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion to Marion C. Hubauer and she survives.

Mr. English retired as sub foreman with National Fuel Gas in Titusville, after 42 years of service with the Company.

He performed with the Les James Trio for many years as well as playing in several other local bands. He played the clarinet and the saxophone.

Rich enjoyed living in Henry’s Bend where he loved boating and taking friends and family water skiing and tubing.

He was a scoutmaster at St. Stephen’s in his younger years and kept in touch with many of his scouts still to this day.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by one daughter, Julie Howard & her husband Kent of Venus and their two children Nicholas and A.J. Kent, one brother, Robert L. English & his wife Marion of Oil City, and by Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard M. “Rick” English, three brothers, Leo D. English, William F. English, and T. Joseph English.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 7-9 P.M. on Tuesday Aug. 6, in the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in St. Stephen’s Church with Fr. Matthew Ruyechan, Pastor, Presiding.

Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the Venango County Humane Society.

Dolores E. Embleton

Dolores E. Embleton, 76, of Newport News, Virginia, formerly of Oil City, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully and entered into the presence of the Lord on Monday, August 5, 2013.

Dolores was born on March 6, 1937, the daughter of Charles and Belva Loveless of Oil City. She was married for 54 years to her devoted husband, Clarence, who cared for her and loved her as a precious gift of God’s grace. Throughout her life, Dolores was a supporting, loving wife and mother, a dependable steady co-worker, busy as a homemaker with sewing and craftwork, and enjoyed playing the piano so the family could sing from the hymnbook together at small gatherings. Attending Northside Christian Church, from whom she and Clarence received and were so grateful to God for such loving support, Dolores enjoyed the fellowship of close friends. She and the family also will always be grateful for the diligent, thoughtful care she received at Northampton Convalescent in her later days. Her steadfastness and her subtle wit will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

In addition to Clarence, Dolores is survived by a daughter and son and two grandchildren. They are Scott and Karen Embleton and their daughters Evan and Alyssa of Newport News, and Rick and Debbie (Embleton) Johnson of Yorktown, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 8 beginning at 1 p.m. follwed by a funeral at 3 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A private entombment will take place at Peninsula Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northside Christian Church Building Foundation.

James Merle Turk Rankin

James Merle “Turk” Rankin, 78 of Rimersburg, PA, died Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Clarview Nursing Home, Sligo, PA.

Turk was born January 7, 1935, in Rimersburg, PA. He was the son of Robert Leroy and Donna Kathryn (Bowser) Rankin.

On October 16, 1959, he married Nita Jane Rankin.

She preceeded him in death on January 22, 2013 and welcomed him home.

Turk was an active member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Rimersburg, PA where he served as an Ordained Ruling Elder. He helped maintain the church building and grounds. Retired, he was employed by T.W. Phillips, Walk Chalk, PA.

Turk loved the outdoors. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Willie’s Place. Turk was a great story teller and loved reminiscing of times past.

He is survived by: His Sister Kathryn (Rankin) Fischer, Niece Deborah (Fischer) Gilbert and Nephew Dennis Fischer – all of California. His Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Bill and Sara Douthett of Rimersburg. Mother-in law, Clara Heasley of Country Springs. Niece Melissa (Douthett) Shugarts, Brockway, PA, and a Nephew Matthew Douthett, Seneca, PA. He is also survived by a Great Niece Sarah Gilbert and 3 Great Nephews Robert Gilbert; Seth and Daniel Shugarts.

Friends and family will be received at the Reformed Presbyterian Church, 946 Main Street, Rimersburg, PA, on Thursday, August 8, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 PM. Then, again on Friday, August 9, from 10:00-11:00 AM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9, at 11:00 AM at the church. The service will be officiated by Rev. John Monger.

Russell Bower, age 80 of Oak Park; Illinois, died on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

Russell was the beloved brother of Judith Bower Carberry and the late Mary Lou (the late Charles) Wedekind; loving uncle of Alison Carberry (Randall) Kiene, David Wedekind, Jan (Michael) Masiuk and Lynn Wedekind; fond great uncle of Nicholas, Damian, Leonard, Gregory and Katelyn.

Visitation was held Monday May 20th from 1 p.m. until Time of Service 3 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home. Private Interment Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Cranberry, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice is appreciated.

Janet  Irene Johnson, 96, of 187 S. Main St. Seneca, PA. died at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 5, 2013 at Oakwood Heights in Oil City after an extended illness.

Born July 11, 1917 in Oil City, PA. , she was the daughter of the late John & Bertha Bell Hess.

A homemaker, Janet was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing the organ.

She was a member of the YWCA Gallivanters and enjoyed exercising at the YMCA Pool.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oil City and the Truth Circle as well as a member of the Bell Choir.

Mrs. Johnson had also belonged to the Belles Lettres Club, and the Salvation Army Auxillary.

She had worked many years at Oilwell Supply and for Quaker State.

Janet was married to  J. Gail DePew and later married  James Johnson and he preceded her in death  on March 17, 1985.

Janet is survived by two daughters, Jean Amon & her husband William of Oil City and Carol Anderson & her husband Gerald of Seneca; 3 step daughters, Lucille Keith of TX, Mary Lou Sloan of Dempseytown & FL, and Wilda Yard of OK; 6 grandchildren, Michael Amon, Jacuqeline Kennemuth, Kenneth Amon, Pamela Ruth, Jodi Anderson and Cori Sharpe; 11 great grandchildren , 3 Great Great Grandchildren and 8 step grandchildren

She is also survived by 1 sister, Ruth Hanna of Oil City.

She was preceded in death by a son, David DePew; 4 brothers Roy, Raplh, Carl and Clarence Hess; and 2 sisters, Ella Gotham and Mabel Berlin.

Friends will be received from 10-11:00 A.M. on Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home

Funeral Services will then be held at 11 A.M. in the Reinsel Funeral Home with Rev. Ronee Christy, Pastor, of the First Presbyterian Church in Oil City Presiding.

Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.

Don MatthewsDonald J. Matthews, 65, of Knox, died Tuesday morning, August 6, 2013, at his home.

Born January 23, 1948 in Brookville; he was the son of Gertrude Ganoe Matthews of Clarion and the late Glenn Matthews.

He was married on September 19, 1970 to the former Frances A. Raybuck, and she survives.

He was a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Marine Corp. He then served with the U.S. Army Reserves in Brookville, retiring after 22 years.

Donald first worked for Don Lewis Construction. He then was a member of the Local 10 Brick Layers Union where he worked as a Brick and Stone Mason. He last worked for Wagner Tarps in Brookville.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 720 of Knox and VFW Post 2145 of Clarion, where he was Past Commander and Long-Time Quarter Master.
Donald enjoyed riding his trike and motorcycle.

He also enjoyed mowing, wood working, and most of all, his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Gina Clark and her husband, Matt, of Shippenville; and a son, Chad Matthews of DuBois; grandchildren, Marina Wilson, Tanner Wilson, and Kali Clark, all of Shippenville, and Tyler and Payton Matthews of DuBois.

Also surviving are five siblings, Judi Matthews of Strattanville; Sharon Clinger and her friend, Jake Miller, of Shippenville; Glenda Allen and husband, Cliff, of Yuma, AZ; Bob Matthews and wife, Tammy, of Sligo; and Peg Howe and husband, Perry, of Clarion.

He was preceded death by his father; a son, Wade Matthews; and an infant son, Derek Matthews.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013, in the funeral home with Pastor Harold O. Jacobson, pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church of Clarion, officiating.

Interment will be held in the Starr Cemetery in Knox, where military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 720 of Knox.

Adam Kenneth Rummel, 31 years old of Broadway, Va. formerly of Tylersburg, PA passed away August 5th, 2013. Born in Hobbs, New Mexico April 4th 1982, He loved hunting, fishing, and basketball.

Adam was preceded in death by his father, Gary Kenneth Rummel of Sligo, PA. Grandparents: Kenneth and Ruth Simpson Rummel, of Sligo PA, Louis and Patricia McFarland Thompson of Tylersburg, PA. Step grandfather Larry Murphy of Rimersburg PA.

Survived by his partner Nicole Brown, and son Kayden Kenneth Rummel, both of Broadway Va. Mother Cynthia Thompson Myers of Winchester VA. Step-Parents: Harry Myers of Winchester Va. and Scott and Shirley Carr of Middletown VA, Grandmother Marsha Murphy of Rimersburg PA. Sisters: Angel Lynn Rummel of Toms Brook VA, and Hanah Rose Carr of Alexandria VA. Step brothers and sisters: Jared and Ashley Carr, Amanda Carr of Rimersburg Pa. Brian and Suzanne Wilkins of Stephens City VA, James Myers of Alva, Ok. and niece Cassidy Coleman of Toms Brook, Va. Also survived by his aunts and uncles: Louis and Darlene Thompson, of Stafford Va. Adam was always a free spirit who would go the extra mile to be there for his family and friends. His loyalty was unmatched and although he is physically not here, his spirit will live on. While this earth has lost a son, brother, father, and partner, Heaven has gained a caring, gentle soul. Adam, you will always be missed and loved, and never forgotten!

William “Bill” G. Slusser

William “Bill” G. Slusser, of Grove City, formerly of Lake Latonka and Oil City, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, in his residence after a heroic battle with brain cancer. He was 73.

Bill will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Mary C. Slusser, Grove City; children, Bill Slusser and his wife Denise, Cranberry Township; Jack Slusser, Wilmington, N.C.; Linda Delvaux and her husband David, Grove City; and Brian Slusser and his wife Alysia, Chicago.

He cherished his grandchildren, Matthew, Conner, Samantha and Ava.

Bill is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Stella Slusser; and his sister, Joanne and her husband Jim McCann.

Mr. Slusser was born May 31, 1940, in Pittsburgh, and grew up in Swissvale, raised a family in Oil City and retired to Lake Latonka.

Bill graduated from Penn State University with a degree in forestry.

He was a forester in the Northwest Region for 31 years with the Pennsylvania State Game Commission.

An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf and was a dedicated fan of Pittsburgh sports teams and a coach of various teams of his children.

He enjoyed people and would initiate conversation with ease. He became a friend to all who knew him. Above all, he was passionately dedicated to his family; there were no lengths to which he would not go to assist, protect or console them.

The family is indebted to all the friends and family members who rose to the occasion during this difficult period. The support, prayers and assistance can never be repaid.

Calling hours will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday (8-9-13) in Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Saturday in Church of the Beloved Disciple, 1310 S. Center St. Extension, Pine Township.

Interment will be held at Center Cemetery, Pine Township.

Leech, Martha JeanMartha Jean Leech born December 13, 1929 died Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at the McKinley Health Center, Brookville, Pa. She was the daughter of John
Leech and Mabel Vallimont Leech. Martha was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by brothers: John R. Leech Denver Co, Robert E. Leech Brookville and sisters: Mary Cummings, Brookville, Dolores Hice, Marston Mills, MA and Sandra Convery (Hugh ) Morehead, KY and several niece’s and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and 1 Brother – Howard Leech.

Martha was a Mother’s Helper and worked in housekeeping services for most of her life.

She was an avid world traveler but Hawaii was her favorite, where she visited over a dozen times.

Martha’s celebration of Life will be, visitation on Saturday, August 10, 2013, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the funeral home with the funeral service at 2 pm at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville, Pa. with the Pastor Randy Evans officiating.

Jennifer M. “Jenni” Bayer, age 52, of Pleasantville, Pa., formerly of Pittsburgh, Pa., died on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at her home in Harmony Twp., Forest Co., Pa.

She was born July 27, 1961 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Robert P. and Eileen (Maguire) Bayer. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard H. Bujak who died May 11, 2012.

Surviving are a son, Joshua M. Songer of Bridgeville, Pa., and a daughter Jordan M. Truman and her fiancé Daniel S. Glenn. A granddaughter, Averie Lynn Nichols. Two brothers, Thomas R. Bayer and his wife Tammy of North Huntingdon, Pa. Martin A. Bayer and his significant other, James Dailey of Deerfield Beach, Florida. Two sisters, Joan M. Ondich of Pittsburgh, and Ruth McWilliams and her husband David of Aliquippa, Pa, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Pleasantville Community Church 343 W. State St. Pleasantville, Pa. 16341, at noon with Pastor Shawn Jacobson officiating.

MC Jackson, 93, passed away in his home July 31, 2013. He was born in Rouseville, PA on April 16, 1920 the sixth child of Arthur & Claire Jackson.

Jackson served as a Staff Sergeant in the 570th Air Engineer 359 Air Serv. Group, 313th Bomb Wing from April 14, 1942 until Jan.3, 1946 receiving a Bronze Star, Good-Conduct Metal, and WWII Victory Medal.

Jan. 16, 1946 he married Thelma Patterson of OKC. She preceded him in death after celebrating 61 years together.

Jax worked 30 years as a sheet metal worker receiving his 60 year membership pin from Local 124 Retiree Club in 2007. He loved to fish, hunt and go back home to visit family.

He is survived by his daughters, Shelba & Bill Norris & Sharleen McCurry; grandchildren Secret Rankin, Chad & Lupe Redwine; great grandchildren Colton Rankin, Sophia, Stella, & Isabella Redwine all of Richmond Texas; two siblings Albert Brown of S.Carolina, and Theodore “Ted” Jackson of PA. He has numerous nieces & nephews who knew him as Uncle Nee.

His family would like to give a special thanks to his niece Toni & Johnny Birdwell, Del City, OK who assisted with his care, Ginny Osborn his caregiver & daytime companion and the comfort care staff; Kenisha, B.G. & Melanie from Excel Hospice.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, Aug.3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens 500 SW 104th, Oklahoma City, conduct by Chaplain Dylan Cole.

Charlene D. Finch Kratzer, 71 of Seneca passed away at 12:00 A.M. Thursday August 8, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family and Nikki.

Born April 29, 1942 in Franklin she was a daughter of the late Fred and Norma Peters Finch Sr.

She was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

Charlene enjoyed reading, gardening, motorcycling with her husband, and traveling especially the five months a year spent in Florida during the winter months.

She cherished time spent with with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Charlene worked for many years at Seneca Printing, retiring in 2007. She made many friends over her career at Seneca Printing and still stayed in contact with many of them.

On March 1, 2002 she married Kenneth R. Kratzer and he survives.

Also surviving are seven children; Vicki O’Day and her husband Steven of Shippenville, Kim Hartzell and her husband Steve of Oil City, Brian Tarr and his wife Julie of Franklin, Susan McFarland of Oil City, Brian Kratzer and his wife Sheila of Seneca, and Dave Kratzer and his wife Stephanie of Georgia and Scott Roberts of Oil City.

Additionally she is survived by six grandchildren; Amy O’Day, Tanya Macormac, Tyler McFarland, Megan Kratzer, Melissa Kratzer, and Nevin Kratzer; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Finch, Fred Finch and Don Finch; a sister Shari Hoffman and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Nikki.

In addition she is survived by many close friends of the Robert’s family.

There will be no visitation or public services.

Interment will be made in Bethel Cemetery.
