Beverly R. Cochran, 69, of White City Road, Pleasantville, died peacefully at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a short illness. Mr. and Mrs. Cochran formerly lived in the Wattsburg area.
Mrs. Cochran was born July 26, 1944 in Titusville a daughter of the late Thomas G. Prody and Waunita Hamilton Prody. She attended Titusville area schools.
She was formerly employed at General Electric of Erie retiring after 15 years of service.
Beverly was a member of American Legion Post 368 Auxiliary, VFW Post 5958 Auxiliary and Polish National Alliance Group 2031 all of Titusville.
Beverly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved the outdoors, gardening, watching hummingbirds was one of her main passions, fishing, wildlife and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years Allen R. (Ben) Cochran of Pleasantville whom she married May 15, 1963 in Titusville; three children, Jack A Cochran and his wife Vicki of Union City, Patricia I. (Tish) Cochran Davis of Union City and Trina M. Cochran Dingle and her husband Darrin of Wattsburg; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Wright of Hydetown, Sandy Besanson and her husband Ken of Cochranton; three brothers,. Thomas Prody and his wife Milly of Hydetown, Herbert Prody, Sr. and his wife Beverly of Wattsburg and Richard Prody and his wife Betty of Ridge Manor, FL; a sister-in-law Nancy Cochran Hallmark Freites of Mooache, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Roberta Prody, Shirley Barker, Jacalyn Kinney and Beatrice (Sis) Barker; a brother Robert Prody; mother-in-law Florence Tulloch Cochran Reynders, father-in-law Russell (Pete) Cochran; five brothers-in-law James (Jim) Cochran, Frank Wright, Jr., Leonard Barker, Sr., Edward Barker and John Kinney; a sister-in-law Helen Vanderhoof Prody and a son-in-law Alfred (Bud) (Al) Davis, Jr.
No calling hours will be observed. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 1, at the American Legion Post 368, 113 E. Central Ave., Titusville, with Pastor Gary Kinnear, retired, officiating.
Interment of cremains will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
