Rose Lucille Batina, 78, of Punxsutawney died suddenly, March 14, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 7, 1935 in Timblin, the daughter of Nicholas and Sophia (Miholich) Batina.
Rose was a caretaker of her parents.
She is survived by two sisters; Barbara J. and husband John R. Facemyer of Canfield, Ohio and Sophia Batina of Brookville, and one brother Joseph J. Batina of Warren, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by; both parents, and three brothers; Paul, John, and Nicholas Batina, and four sisters; Annie Maietta, Agnes Muia, Frances Hetrick and Mary Maxwell.
Friends will be received Thursday March 20, 2014 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., a memorial service will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Father Sam Bungo officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in New Bethlehem.
